Find your balance where the land meets the sea. Join me for mindful flows, sunrise meditations, and the healing rhythm of the waves.

A flow from a squat to a wheel pose, or Chakrasana, on the beach in Lakshadweep. Everything that exists is an absolute miracle, especially the feeling of practicing yoga with the sun setting over the ocean.

A headstand variation on a boat during a beautiful sunset in Lakshadweep. We are not where we used to be, and we will never be there again. Each moment on the water is unique and precious.

Practicing yoga on the beach at sunrise in Lakshadweep. A simple flow to greet the day reminds me that once is a mistake, but twice is a decision. We choose how we show up each morning.

If you want something, do whatever it takes to get it. Practicing my headstand on the sandy beach of Agatti island in Lakshadweep, with a shipwreck in the background, was a moment of pure determination.

Surrendering to the universe in a Rajakapotasana, or King Pigeon Pose, on a boat in Lakshadweep. The universe meets you at the depth of your surrender, and there is no better place to let go than on the calm sea at sunset.

A headstand in an infinity pool overlooking the ocean in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Every season serves its purpose, and every place we visit teaches us something new about ourselves and the world.

A gentle Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, on the shores of Hiriketiya, Sri Lanka. Practicing on the beach, with your feet grounded in the sand, is a beautiful way to connect with the earth and the water element.

About this collection

Practicing by the ocean adds a unique layer to your flow that a studio cannot replicate. On sand, your stabilizer muscles work harder to find balance, while the constant rhythm of the tides naturally guides your breath and makes deep pranayama feel effortless.

Yoga has always been my anchor, but there is a distinct shift that happens when you take your mat to the shore. These retreats are designed for those who need to disconnect from the frantic energy of city life and reconnect with the natural elements.

In places like Lakshadweep or the coast of Sri Lanka, we work with the environment, not against it. Morning sessions begin with the sunrise, using the light and warmth to wake up the body through Hatha or Vinyasa flows. Sand provides an uneven surface that forces you to engage your core and focus on alignment in ways you might miss on a flat mat. It is raw, it is challenging, and it is incredibly grounding.

We do not just do asanas. My beach retreats incorporate the Panchabhuta—the five elements—into our practice. We use the ocean for purification rituals, practice meditation to the sound of crashing waves, and often end the day with Trataka (candle gazing) or sound healing as the sun dips below the horizon.

You do not need to be an advanced practitioner to join. Whether you are seeking a quiet space to heal, a chance to deepen your practice, or simply a community of like-minded people, you are welcome. We eat sattvic food, we slow down, and we prioritize Santosh—finding happiness in being exactly where we are. It is not about escaping reality, but about finding a reality where you feel more like yourself.

I am Suhani. I find my own strength and stillness in nature, and that is exactly what I bring to these beach retreats. It is not about perfecting poses; it is about arriving as you are and letting the ocean hold space for your practice.
