Breathe, Relax, & Heal: Yoga Techniques for Cleansing and Energy
Yoga is about more than just poses; it is about clearing the system, calming the mind, and finding your natural rhythm. Here, we focus on specific breathing and cleansing practices that help you feel lighter and more grounded every day.
After a good yoga practice, Yoga Nidra is essential for body and mind rejuvenation. It allows for deep rest and integration of the practice's benefits.
A student in deep relaxation after Yoga Nidra. This state of conscious sleep is incredibly restorative for the entire nervous system.
To combat pollution, yogic Shuddhi Kriyas (cleansing techniques) are very important. Here we practice Jal Neti and Kunjal Kriya to cleanse the nasal passages and digestive tract.
Agnisar Pranayam is a powerful breathing technique for all ages. Here, our young students practice this kriya to boost digestion and strengthen their core.
I explain Vakrasana (Seated Spinal Twist) and how to combine it with Kapalbhati (a breathing technique) to stimulate digestive organs and improve overall health.
About Breathe, Relax, & Heal
In this practice, we focus on clearing out the system rather than just stretching. Whether it is using Jal Neti to clear nasal passages for better breathing in Delhi’s climate or practicing Agnisar Kriya to stimulate your digestion and core strength, these techniques are about tangible daily comfort. I personally guide you through every cleansing Kriya and breathing drill, so you feel safe and confident, even if you are trying these techniques for the first time.
Cleansing for Modern Life
Living in a city like Delhi brings unique challenges, from high pollution levels to lifestyle-related stress. We use Shuddhi Kriyas like Jal Neti (nasal cleansing) and Kunjal Kriya to physically clear out the accumulated toxins. It is not just a ritual; it is a way to keep your sinuses clear, improve your immunity, and actually feel the difference in how you breathe.
Breathing for Core Vitality
Pranayama is not just 'deep breathing.' Techniques like Agnisar Kriya are powerful tools for internal health. By actively engaging the core and stimulating the digestive organs, we work on fat burning and metabolic health from the inside out. You will find that regular practice of these kriyas helps with common issues like bloating and sluggishness.
The Art of Letting Go
After a session of intensive asanas and Kriyas, your nervous system needs a reset. Yoga Nidra is our way of achieving that. It is a guided practice of 'conscious sleep' that allows your body to integrate the work we have done in class. Many students find this part of the session the most rewarding, as it is where the mental chatter stops and true restoration begins.
My approach is hands-on and adaptive. If you are struggling with a specific health issue, we modify the practice to suit you. Yoga is not one-size-fits-all, and in this group, we ensure everyone finds their own pace.
