Yoga is more than just poses. It is a living practice that has supported me through writing, motherhood, and everything in between. Explore my journey and discover how we can build a practice that fits your real life.

Yoga for me now is about using whatever props I can find, sometimes only breathing, sometimes just watching my daughter play. My practice has become more intuitive and mature since becoming a mother.

These are snippets from my postpartum yoga sessions. For me, every day is yoga day, and the practice is about getting stronger, fitter, and happier each day, one breath at a time.

A little humor on the difference between chasing trends and dedicated practice. Hanumanasana doesn't lie; longevity and vitality come from consistent breath, awareness, and an ancient practice that is always effective.

Some truths about my 11 years as an Iyengar Yoga practitioner. I cringe at some yoga jargon, I enjoy a cold beer, and I don't carry my mat on vacation. My practice is real, not perfect.

Padmasana, the lotus pose, represents mental calm and focus. My own journey, including conceiving at 42, is a result of years of consistent practice that nurtures a youthful body and a calm mind.

Natrajasana, the dancer's pose, teaches us that balance is key to remaining stress free. Yoga supports healthy aging by working on breath, hormonal health, and energy, ensuring you feel as young as you look.

Halasana, or plow pose, helps detox the body and mind for glowing skin and clear thoughts. True vitality starts from within, and yoga is a path to aging gracefully with peace of mind.

About this collection

Most people see the final pose and think that is the goal. But my practice today is often just mindful breathing, or simple stretches while watching my daughter play. It has shifted from chasing perfect asanas to finding what my body actually needs in the moment. Whether you are navigating the demands of motherhood or simply trying to find consistency, I teach how to stop performing and start living your practice.

My approach to yoga is rooted in my own evolution. Over the last 11 years, I have seen my practice change from a tool for weight loss and physical discipline into a sanctuary that supports mental health and physical longevity. This journey has not been about becoming more flexible, but about becoming more human.

The Philosophy of My Path

I practice and teach in the Iyengar tradition, where we use props like chairs, bolsters, and belts to make the ancient wisdom of yoga accessible. These are not crutches. They are intelligent teachers that allow us to find precision and safety, even if we are working with back injuries, hormonal issues like PCOS, or the physical demands of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

Why This Works

  • Adaptability: We move away from generic routines. My classes are designed to meet you where you are, whether you are a beginner or a teacher looking to deepen your understanding.
  • Integration: I teach how to take the awareness from the mat into your daily life. This is the essence of my book, 'Beyond Asanas', and the core of every session I hold at my JP Nagar studio.
  • Reality: I do not believe in 'bouncing back' or pushing through pain. I believe in listening. Whether it is through a restorative workshop with live classical music or a technical intensive, the goal is always the same: to leave the mat feeling more cared for and capable than when you arrived.
