My Path: From Chronic Pain to Yoga Mentorship

Real growth is rarely a straight line. This is the story of how I stopped chasing perfect shapes and started healing my own body.

Can yoga really change your life? I believe it can, because it changed mine. My journey is a story of renewal and transformation.

Like the new moon, my journey began with a seed of curiosity. As my understanding grew, my practice began to take shape, and my confidence expanded.

Like a full moon, my transformation felt complete, radiating health and peace. My mission became clear: to share the light of yoga with the world and inspire others.

Just as the moon disappears only to reappear, my story is about the power of self-discovery. Are you ready to embark on your own journey? Let's find your light together.

About My Story, Your Inspiration

People often view these moon-cycle visuals as a branding exercise, but they aren't. Every phase represents a year where I had to learn something painful about my body, from managing disc bulges to rebuilding my strength after being bedridden. I don't teach from a pedestal, I teach from the mat where I have actually done the work to get better, and I expect the same honesty from anyone who trains with me.

When I first started yoga, I was in constant pain. My back was a mess, and the doctor’s advice felt like a life sentence of restricted movement. I didn't come to yoga to look graceful, I came because I had to find a way to live without sciatica ruining every single day.

The images here, mapped against the moon's phases, are a timeline of that recovery.

  • The new moon was the start: just showing up when I wanted to quit.
  • The waxing moon was the learning: understanding that the old 'no pain, no gain' mantra is nonsense. I had to learn how to listen to my nervous system.
  • The full moon represents where I am now: not pain-free, but pain-managed. I can squat, I can hold my weight, and more importantly, I can teach others how to move safely without destroying their joints.

Whether you are a student looking for a class that actually cares about your limitations, or a new teacher trying to figure out how to handle your own 'what now' moment, my approach is the same. We skip the fluff. We focus on the anatomy, the breath, and the boring but necessary consistency that actually keeps you in the game. I have held space for over 5,000 sessions online, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is that nobody needs another influencer. They need a mentor who has been through the chaos and came out the other side.
