About Therapeutic Yoga
Why I Teach This Way
For me, yoga is way more than just copying poses. After my pregnancy, I truly started believing that yoga should make you feel supported and cared for, not just stretched and sweaty. My teaching is rooted in the Iyengar style, so the focus is always on mindful movement and precise alignment.
What You Can Expect
Every person’s body is different, so I tailor my sessions to your needs:
- If you’re struggling with back or knee pain and feel like nothing else is working, I get it. Together, we’ll use mindful movement therapy to recalibrate your body. No pushing through pain - it’s about moving with awareness.
- Managing PCOS or hormonal issues? I’ve seen how hormonal balance yoga can help you reconnect with your body, regulate energy and mood, and move towards feeling whole.
- For new moms, especially post-pregnancy, I know how draining those aches can be. Postpartum yoga therapy focuses on gentle movement, easing upper back and neck tension, and can be done right at home.
- If your posture’s gone for a toss (thanks, laptop life), I’ll help you use simple tools like belts or blocks to bring attention to alignment and build strength the right way.
My Take on Props
You’ll see me using chairs, belts, bolsters, all that jazz. They’re not shortcuts - they’re like your friends on the mat, helping you practice safely, hold poses longer, and break down stiffness, especially for yoga for back pain relief.
What It Feels Like
My sessions are about slowing down, tuning in, and finding quiet. You can expect sharp alignment cues and corrections. My students often leave feeling lighter, clearer in the head, and more at home in their bodies. It’s not about perfection - it’s about feeling better, one step at a time.

My Story
There’s this old photo of me—before yoga, before 'Beyond Asanas', before I really knew myself. I lost weight, wrote my book, and built my yoga life from scratch. Motherhood changed me, didn’t erase me. Nights out with friends remind me I’m still me, just deeper. My yoga shifted too—no going back, just moving forward. I’m more intuitive now, stronger in new ways. My handstands are better, my dharma is clearer: be real, be kind.
