Yoga isn't always calm meditation and perfect balance. Sometimes it's me falling over, laughing at myself, and keeping it real. Here is a peek behind the curtain at my practice.

A little behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create one small reel. It's not always graceful, and there are plenty of failed shots and laughter along the way!

About The Real & Goofy Side

You see the polished, steady pose on my feed, but the reality often involves a lot of wobbly legs, laughter, and resets. My practice is a space where imperfection is welcome, because I believe that is exactly where real growth happens. We don't just chase the perfect asana here—we learn to be comfortable with the messiness of the journey.

Why I Keep It Real

There is a common misconception that yoga is about being silent, stiff, and perfect. In my studio in Chattarpur and on my online calls, we do things differently. If you are struggling with a pose, you will see me laughing right along with you. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that if you are taking yourself too seriously, you are missing the point of the practice.

My Approach to Practice

Whether you are joining for Hatha, Vinyasa, or a deep Yoga Nidra session, my goal is the same: to help you find balance.

  • For Beginners: It is okay to be stiff. We focus on 'apne tail bone pe dhyan' (focus on your tailbone) and moving slowly, without force.
  • For the Stressed: We integrate NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) and breathing techniques that you can actually use in your office or daily life.
  • The 'Goofy' Factor: I bring my personality into every class. We work hard, but we also ensure there is space to breathe, smile, and release the tension you carried in with you.

I run small, intimate batches—8 to 10 people in the studio and 10 to 15 online—so I can actually see your form and correct it. This isn't just about watching a screen; it is about having a teacher who understands your body, your injuries, and your good days and bad days.

I am Manikarnika. I teach yoga in Delhi, but my soul lives in the mountains of Kotkhai. I balance a deep, spiritual practice with a lighthearted approach to life—expect laughter in my class, not just discipline.
