My Personal Yoga Practice and Philosophy
Yoga is not about perfectly polished poses or Instagram trends. It is a continuous, imperfect practice of showing up for yourself, finding balance on the mat, and learning as you go.
My lines aren’t quite perfect here, and honestly, my motivation vanished after two tries. I realized I'd rather be eating noodles. I keep it real because yoga isn't about perfection; it's about showing up.
A reminder for you today: it's okay to be affected by something you thought you had healed from. Recovery isn't linear. Be gentle with yourself, always.
Don’t ever feel guilty for taking care of yourself. Your body and soul deserve the investment. This is a reminder to tune out the haters and prioritize your own well being.
As Swami Vivekananda said, "We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think." Your thoughts are powerful; they live and travel far.
What we truly need to do is often what we most feel like avoiding. Life is a journey of small steps. The key is to take them, every single day, even when it's hard.
What goes around, comes around. Everyone you meet is learning something and has lost something. Be careful not to dehumanize those you disagree with; be kind.
Strive constantly to serve the welfare of the world. I try to bring this spirit of selfless work into my practice and my life, with the welfare of others in mind.
About My Personal Practice & Inspirations
My personal practice is rarely the highlight reel you might see on social media. Some days my transitions are shaky, my motivation wanes, and I would rather be snacking than doing a core blast. I share these moments because consistency matters far more than perfection. Whether you are dealing with tight hamstrings, a stressful desk job, or a fluctuating schedule, my online classes focus on building a sustainable habit that fits into your real life, not an idealized version of it.
Moving with Intention
Yoga is about connecting the mind, body, and breath. In my practice, I blend Hatha and Vinyasa styles, focusing heavily on alignment to ensure you move safely. We do not just 'stretch'; we work on the 'squeeze-and-soak' action of twists and build a stable center through targeted core flows. You will find that I emphasize the 'why' behind the poses, drawing from the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita to make the philosophy as practical as the physical movement.
Why Online Matters
Training online means you can roll out your mat in the comfort of your own home, which removes the barrier of travel time and studio anxiety. My group sessions are capped at 15 students. This limit is deliberate because it allows me to actually see your camera feed and provide real-time verbal corrections. If you are struggling with a pose, I will guide you on how to use blocks, straps, or even household items to deepen the stretch without risking injury.
Your Pace, Your Practice
I firmly believe that if you can breathe, you can do yoga. You do not need to be flexible to start. In fact, that is the best time to begin. My goal is to help you build mobility and strength at your own speed. If you are looking for more personalized attention, my private virtual sessions allow us to focus exclusively on your goals, whether that is mastering an inversion, relieving back pain from sitting at a desk, or improving your range of motion.
