My Yoga Journey: Finding Balance and Self-Acceptance
Yoga is not about perfection for me. It is a space to breathe, show up with my flaws, and process life. Here is a glimpse into how I use the mat to find my ground and simply be.
Breathe in, breathe out. A simple, gentle flow to reconnect with the body. Sometimes the most profound practice is just focusing on the breath.
Nothing will teach you more than showing up for yourself every day. This seated flow is a meditation on commitment and self-care.
Post-yoga chilling. After a strong practice, it's important to find moments of playfulness and rest.
Committing to the mat again after a huge hiatus. This is a real, vulnerable moment of returning to my practice and finding my way back to my body.
A reminder to not give up on yourself during times of change. The mat is a safe space to process and find your strength again.
The dance of the chakras. Yoga is not just physical; it's an energetic practice of bringing our whole system into balance.
This silly little life. A personal practice flow moving from headstand to deep backbends, finding gratitude for the simple act of moving and breathing.
A vinyasa focused on core engagement and spinal stretching, moving from shoulder stand variations to wheel pose. This is a powerful flow for building resilience.
About My Journey on the Mat
You will notice that my practice often includes raw moments like returning to the mat after a long hiatus. My approach is not about executing a flawless headstand, but about the breath and the patience to restart. If you have ever felt discouraged by stopping and starting your practice, know that this is a normal part of the process, not a failure.
My practice is an ongoing dialogue with myself. When I step onto the mat, I am not trying to achieve a specific aesthetic. Instead, I focus on the work in, which means using movement to understand my emotional state and physical limitations. Whether it is a deep hip opener to release stress or a gentle Vinyasa flow to move through anxiety, the goal is always sustainable health.
My sessions in South Delhi and online focus on alignment and breathwork rather than gymnastics. We work on:
- Hatha and Vinyasa integration: Combining the stability of Hatha with the fluid motion of Vinyasa.
- Sustainable strength: Focusing on spine health and core engagement to support desk-job lifestyles.
- Emotional regulation: Pranayama and mindful movement to help you process your day.
It does not matter if you have taken a long break from your practice or if you are dealing with an injury. We adapt the flows to where you are today. I believe that yoga is for every body and every mood, so expect a safe space to grow at your own pace.
Sanchita
Hi, I am Sanchita. I do not chase the perfect pose because some days my cat is better at downward dog than I am. I teach Hatha and Vinyasa as a way to process emotions and build resilience, not just to build muscle. I want to help you find your practice, flaws and all.
