Group Yoga Classes in Andheri West
In my studio, we don't just roll out mats; we build a circle of support. See how my students practice together to find strength and balance.
This is a preparatory practice for Ardha Baddha Padma Uttanasana. I guide my students to maintain control and stability as they move, helping them build focus, improve balance, and strengthen their legs.
I believe in the power of positive affirmations. Here, I am helping a student with her alignment while reminding her that she is the architect of her destiny and aligned with her highest purpose.
A glimpse into one of our evening batch classes in Andheri West. It is wonderful to see students of all ages and abilities practicing together and supporting one another.
"Yoga se hi sab kuch thik hoga." This is my firm belief. Here you can see my students in a group class, finding their own peace and strength through the practice. God bless you all.
In this class, we are focusing on strengthening the hands and arms with Purvottanasana (Upward Plank Pose). Building upper body strength is essential for many yoga asanas and for daily functional fitness.
About Our Community in Action
In our group sessions here in Andheri West, you won't find fast-paced flows. Instead, we use wall ropes, metal chairs, and blocks to hold poses safely. This is about working on your alignment and stability as a group, ensuring you get the right support whether you are just starting or have been practicing for years.
My community of yogis is diverse—we have working professionals dealing with stress, seniors managing stiffness, and women navigating health changes like PCOD or menopause. When we practice together, the energy is different. It is not about looking perfect in a pose; it is about feeling the support of the group and the props we use to get there.
Why Our Group Practice is Different
We follow an Iyengar-inspired approach. This means safety is our baseline. Because we use equipment like wall ropes for traction and chairs for spinal alignment, you don't need to be naturally flexible to join us. You just need to show up.
What Happens in a Session?
- Alignment Focus: We hold postures for 30 to 60 seconds. This builds endurance and corrects the body's posture.
- Breathwork: Every session includes 15 minutes of Pranayama to calm the nervous system.
- Accessibility: Whether you are a beginner or dealing with chronic pain, the props allow you to modify every movement to fit your body's current capacity.
Yog se hi sab kuch thik hoga (Yoga heals everything). Consistency is the only secret. When you commit to 3 classes a week, you start seeing shifts in your body, your digestion, and your ability to manage daily stress. This isn't a quick fix, but it is a real one.
Kavita Yogasadhana
I am Kavita, and my studio is where I share what 20 years of practice has taught me. I don't run gym-style classes; we focus on steady, alignment-based movements to build internal strength. My yogis are my family, and we grow together, one pose at a time.
