About Animal Flow: Primal Movement
Animal Flow is not just about fitness; it is about coordination and waking up muscle groups you didn't know you had. In my classes, we spend time breaking down the foundations of quadrupedal movement—like the beast and crab positions—before we link them into a flow. Whether you are coming from a gym background or are new to movement, we focus on safe, steady progression so you can build real control without feeling overwhelmed.
Animal Flow is a unique discipline that uses your own body weight to build strength, flexibility, and coordination. By utilizing ground-based movement patterns—inspired by gymnastics and animal-like locomotion—we work on developing kinetic chains that static weightlifting often misses.
In my sessions, I emphasize the 'why' behind every movement. We start by mastering the fundamentals: the wrist conditioning required for weight-bearing, proper scapular placement, and the coordination needed to transition between ground positions. It is a highly cerebral practice as much as a physical one, requiring focus and spatial awareness.
