About Ballet for Kids
Why Ballet With Me
I’m Surbhi, and for me, ballet is all about finding joy in every little step. I don’t expect kids to be perfect pirouette machines - it’s more about showing up, moving, sometimes wobbling, and celebrating small wins. If your child is nervous about trying something new, I get it. We keep things light, safe, and full of imagination.
How We Learn
I mix ballet basics with yoga, so kids get stronger, bendier, and learn how to balance like a champ. The combo helps prevent injuries and honestly, it’s just more fun. My teaching style? Loads of patience, no shouting. We use silly cues like “put your chapatis” to learn technique. Progress matters more than perfection here.
- Classes split for KG level and older kids
- Focus on creative movement for children
- We work on ballet and yoga for flexibility
- Every kid moves at their own pace
Not Just Dancing
We don’t just learn steps - we build confidence and prepare for proper stage performances in beautiful costumes. Kids get teamwork, discipline, and the thrill of expressive dance for young learners. Most stick around for years because, well, it feels like family. And yes, we have loads of fun!

My Story
Hey, I'm Surbhi – dancer, teacher, forever student, and yes, proud dog mom (Stella’s the real boss). Fifteen years I taught ballet, shaping tiny ballerinas, but now my heart’s deep in yoga, or 'Yogascapes' as I call it. I’m always learning, from Mysore trips to sound healing and animal flow. My happiest moments? Sun, sea, scuba, my mom, and my dogs. My classes are chill – I don’t scold, I explain. Learning should be fun, na?
My Work
Yoga, Ballet & Healing Classes - I teach general yoga, aerial yoga for beginners, hormone healing yoga, sound healing, prenatal yoga, yoga therapy, and ballet.
Progress, Not Perfection - You’ll wobble, you’ll laugh. My classes are safe, kind, sometimes silly. No scolding, just explaining.
For Everyone - Beginners, pros, anyone wanting mindful movement. We focus on strength, flexibility, and listening to your body.
Online & In-Person, Plus Retreats - Join group classes or mindful movement retreats like 'Hillside Harmony' – deep practice, nature, and good vibes.
