Himalayan Yoga Retreats in Uttarakhand
Trade the city rush for the quiet of the Himalayas. Our retreats blend traditional asana and pranayama with mountain treks, helping you reset your body and mind in the pure air of Uttarakhand.
Welcome to our Mukteshwar yoga retreat. Here, we combine daily asana practice on open-air terraces with invigorating spiritual treks to local waterfalls and quiet moments of connection in the heart of the Himalayas.
This is the backdrop for your journey: the lush, cloud-kissed hills of Binsar, Uttarakhand. The pure mountain air and tranquil environment are integral to the healing and rejuvenation process we facilitate.
We practice Pranayama, the yogic science of breath, fully immersed in nature. These sessions are designed to oxygenate the body, calm the nervous system, and deepen your connection to the present moment.
A core part of our retreats is cultural and spiritual immersion. Here, our group participates in a sacred puja ceremony at the ancient Jageshwar Dham, a powerful cluster of Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
A look inside your home in the mountains. Our homestays are simple, clean, and comfortable, providing a peaceful and private space for you to rest and reflect after a day of practice and exploration.
Experience deep relaxation through sound healing. We use traditional Tibetan singing bowls to create resonant frequencies that help release tension, balance your energy centers, and guide you into a profound state of meditation.
Hear from one of our international students from Vietnam about his experience on our Rishikesh retreat. He shares how the principles of Karma Yoga he learned with us have had a lasting, positive effect on his daily life.
This is a snapshot of what we do. From group pranayama sessions on a mountain terrace to advanced asana practice, our goal is to share yoga as 'jeevan jeene ki kala', the true art of living.
About Featured
We keep our groups intimate to ensure personal attention, living in simple, clean homestays rather than luxury hotels. You will experience a full schedule of morning Hatha flow, evening Pranayama, and guided spiritual treks, all fueled by fresh, Sattvic vegetarian meals sourced from local produce. This is not a vacation; it is a grounded, quiet space for deep practice and personal detoxification.
Our retreats are rooted in 'jeevan jeene ki kala'—the art of living. When you join us in the mountains of Mukteshwar or Rishikesh, you are stepping away from the noise to align with the rhythms of nature.
The Daily Practice
Your day begins with sunrise Hatha or Ashtanga yoga, designed to align the body and build prana. We focus on traditional techniques, ensuring that whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, your alignment is correct. Evenings are dedicated to restorative pranayama and meditation, often accompanied by sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls to release deep-seated tension.
Detox and Nourishment
We incorporate traditional Yogic cleansing techniques, known as Shatkarma, for those seeking a deeper internal reset. You will be guided through practices like Jal Neti, supported by a personal kit. To complement this, we serve pure Sattvic vegetarian meals. Think simple, local produce that feels light, energetic, and completely free from the heavy, processed foods of city life.
Connection to Nature
We believe the Himalayas are a natural temple. Our itinerary includes guided oxygen walks through pine forests and visits to ancient, high-energy sites like Jageshwar Dham. These are not just sightseeing trips; they are opportunities to sit in silence, observe the landscape, and let the mountain air do the work of healing your nervous system.
Accommodations
Do not expect five-star resorts. We stay in authentic, residential homestays that offer a clean, peaceful environment with valley views. You will have a comfortable bed, western-style amenities, and a quiet space to reflect. It is about simple living, good company, and getting back to what truly matters.
