The Art of Sound: Healing Instruments for Your Workspace
Sound is ancient medicine. From the deep vibration of a 30-inch gong to the delicate resonance of Tibetan singing bowls, I use these instruments to help you and your team access the stillness that is already within.
This video captures the essence of my "Awaken the Artist Within" workshop in Casablanca, Morocco. It shows me playing the handpan, a soulful instrument that guides people into deep relaxation and helps them connect with their inner creativity.
What is the history of the singing bowl? In this video, I share a little about these ancient healing tools, which have been used for over 2,500 years for meditation and treatment. I have a collection of handmade, machine-made, and ancient bowls.
Sound is ancient medicine. This is a typical setup for my Sound Healing Teacher Training Course, with Tibetan bowls, mallets, and notebooks ready for the students to learn and practice.
The sound of the handpan flowing in nature. I play intuitively, letting the energy of the place and the people guide the music. This was recorded at a beautiful, rocky landscape in Namma Bengaluru.
A handpan sits in the foreground during a corporate wellness session at Ninjacart. Its presence alone brings a sense of calm and curiosity to the room before the music even begins.
A montage of me and my handpan in different settings, from a formal corporate event to a spiritual gathering in India and a sunset session in Morocco. This instrument is my constant companion on my healing journey.
A simple set of healing tools: two handmade singing bowls and a pair of tingsha cymbals. These instruments are fundamental to my sound healing sessions and are perfect for creating a clear, resonant sound.
The Kannada proverb "ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದರೂ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದು" means "Even if the idol is small, its fame is big." This small singing bowl holds immense power to heal and bring peace.
A handpan meditation session outdoors at the JW Marriott Golfshire. The participants are blindfolded to enhance their listening experience, allowing the soothing sounds of the instrument to guide them inward.
Namaste. I invite you to close your eyes and listen to this short handpan piece. Using earphones will make the experience more effective. Let the music be your meditation.
About The Art of Sound: Our Healing Instruments
I don't believe in just sitting and listening. Whether it’s a 30-inch gong or a small singing bowl, these instruments act as mirrors. When we bring them into your office, we aren't just performing. We are creating a space for your team to stop, breathe, and reset. For corporate sessions, I handle the full setup, from aesthetic floor rugs to specific soundscapes, ensuring the environment is right for deep, immediate relaxation, regardless of your office floor type.
My journey has taken me to over 32 countries, and everywhere I go, the truth is the same: we are all carrying more tension than we realize. My collection of over 45 instruments is not for show. Each piece, from the soulful handpan to the chakra-tuned singing bowls, has a specific purpose in shifting the energy of a room.
How We Use Sound in the Workplace
Corporate stress often sits in the body as screen fatigue and mental fog. My sound healing sessions are designed to break this cycle using a mix of acoustic frequencies:
- Tibetan Singing Bowls: Used for deep focus and clearing mental clutter. I bring a variety, including ancient and modern designs, to create a layered sonic experience.
- Resonance Gongs: These create a wide frequency range that helps the body move from a state of 'fight or flight' into a state of 'rest and digest' very quickly.
- Handpan: This is my constant companion. It provides a melodic, flowing rhythm that helps lower heart rates and brings a sense of calm to even the busiest office environments.
Practical Implementation
Many clients ask if they need a special room. The beauty of these instruments is that they are mobile. Whether it is a conference room at a startup in Namma Bengaluru or a retreat space in Casablanca, I curate the setup to match the energy of your team. We don’t require complex sound systems. The sound is entirely acoustic, relying on the natural resonance of the instruments. My goal is to teach your team that they don't need a yoga studio to find peace—they just need to learn how to listen.
