Aerial Yoga Poses & Moments

Yoga often looks like serious poses, but for me, it is a dance with the air. These photos show how we use the hammock to stretch, invert, and have fun.

A beautiful pose that combines a hip opener with a side body stretch. The hammock allows you to go deeper into the stretch.

This is a great hip opener pose. The hammock supports your standing leg, so you can focus on opening the hip of the other leg.

Splits in the air. The hammock provides the support to work on your splits without putting pressure on your joints.

This is the Flying Bat pose. You are completely wrapped and supported by the hammock, which feels like a cocoon.

The Star Shape pose, where you become a star in the sky. It's a full-body experience.

Butterfly in the air. This is a seated version of the butterfly pose, a great hip opener that you can do while gently swinging.

A dynamic, flying pose. This is the feeling of liberation that aerial yoga can give you.

Aerial yoga is fun. Here I am using the hammock like a prop to get a deep hamstring and back stretch.

Just hanging around. Sometimes the simplest poses are the most effective.

About Gallery of Poses & Moments

The hammocks you see here are made of high-quality tricot nylon, rated for full body support so you can safely release tension in your spine. We focus on gentle traction to help with cervical pain and stiffness. If you are worried about feeling lost, remember that I personally guide you through every flip and fold, ensuring your safety from day one.

Aerial yoga is more than just poses. It is about finding freedom in your movement. In our classes, we move away from traditional mat limitations and use the aerial hammock to explore space.

  • Spine Decompression: Many of our poses, like the supported plow or inverted butterfly, are designed to relieve pressure on the spine. It feels like a deep stretch that you cannot get on the floor.
  • Playful Approach: We focus on moves like the Flying Bat and Star Shape to build confidence and strength. It helps people overcome the fear of heights in a controlled way.
  • Community: Whether you are an adult with chronic back pain or a child who wants to swing like a superhero, our Najafgarh rooftop space is designed for you. The semi-outdoor environment adds fresh air to your practice, which makes the whole experience feel lighter.

If you are new, do not worry about flexibility. Most people start here just to have fun and feel better. Come by to see how we use Iyengar ropes and hammocks to make your body feel taller and stronger.
