Yoga Media Appearances & Collaborative Workshops
I am grateful for the opportunities to share the benefits of yoga on wider platforms. Here are some moments from my appearances on Star Suvarna, online webinars, and sessions with my respected Gurus.
"Love yourself just like you love others." A small thought from my television segment 'Yoga Sankalpa' on Star Suvarna. It's a joy to bring the message of yoga and self-love to a wider audience.
You can watch the new episodes of my yoga segment every morning on Star Suvarna or Disney Hotstar. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share this practice.
A glimpse from my show on Star Suvarna, demonstrating a variation of Vyaghrasana (Tiger Pose). The goal is always to make yoga accessible and beneficial for everyone watching at home.
Wondering what I am talking so much about? A little behind-the-scenes glimpse from a shoot. Stay tuned to know more.
A few behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot for my segment on Star Suvarna. A lot of work goes into creating these episodes, and I'm grateful for the entire team.
I am so excited and honored to have my Guru, Yogacharya Bharath Shetty, as a patron of Yoga Bimba. His wisdom and guidance have been invaluable on my journey, and I am thrilled he can share it with our community.
"Om Gurubhyo Namaha." On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, I express my tremendous gratitude for my Guru, Bharath Shetty, who continuously leads us on the path of knowledge.
About this collection
If you have caught my segments on Star Suvarna, you know my goal is to make yoga feel accessible, not like a rigid performance. Whether I am breaking down a variation of Vyaghrasana for television viewers or hosting a collaborative webinar, the core focus is always on consistency and safety. If you enjoy this approach and are curious about joining our small, supportive batches, feel free to reach out.
Bridging Tradition and Modern Life
Yoga is not meant to stay confined within the four walls of a studio. My media appearances, including the 'Yoga Sankalpa' segment on Star Suvarna, are an extension of the work we do at Yoga Bimba in Nagarbhavi. The intention is always the same: to strip away the intimidation factor and show that anyone can start their practice.
Learning from the Source
I am deeply honored to have Yogacharya Bharath Shetty as a mentor. His guidance, which I often share in our community sessions, is the backbone of our teaching methodology. Collaborating with senior practitioners and sharing this wisdom on broader platforms helps us keep our Hatha Yoga sequences aligned with authentic, traditional roots, even when we are teaching online or in hybrid formats.
Why Collaborations Matter
These external projects are more than just exposure; they are opportunities to reach people who might be hesitant to start. When I discuss topics like breathwork or simple postural adjustments on camera, it is to provide a 'taster' of what we practice in our ladies-only batches. We focus on:
- Practical Alignment: Breaking down complex poses into manageable steps for home practice.
- Community Connection: Sharing the 'Yoga Bimba' vibe, where we laugh, support each other, and grow together.
- Accessible Wisdom: Integrating Sanskrit teachings into everyday language so they actually make sense in our modern lives.
Whether you found me through a television segment or a collaborative webinar, my invitation is the same: show up on the mat. You don't need to be flexible or experienced to start. You just need to begin.
Yoga Bimba
I’m Nayana, and Yoga Bimba is my way of sharing the traditional Hatha Yoga I’ve learned with our community. My practice is deeply influenced by my Guru, Yogacharya Bharath Shetty, and it brings me joy to pass that wisdom on, whether on television or inside our shala in Nagarbhavi.
