Yoga for PCOS and Hormonal Balance in Nagarbhavi

byYoga BimbaStudio at Nagarbhavi, BengaluruView full gallery

A supportive space to practice yoga techniques that help manage hormonal imbalances, reduce stress, and reclaim your well-being.

I am honored to have the guidance of our patron, Dr. Chandrika Anand, a senior Gynaecologist whose special interest is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Her medical expertise enriches our holistic approach to women's wellness.

About this collection

We don't just 'do' yoga here. Managing PCOS requires a mix of endocrine-focused poses and intentional stress management. In our sessions, we specifically apply Mula Bandha and Uddiyana Bandha to help stimulate thyroid function and support cycle regulation. It is a slow, steady practice designed to lower cortisol levels naturally rather than forcing high-intensity movement that can sometimes add stress to an already struggling system.

PCOS and hormonal imbalances often leave us feeling disconnected from our own bodies. At Yoga Bimba, our approach is not about a quick fix. It is about building a sustainable routine.

Our sessions are therapeutic and medically informed. We are fortunate to have the guidance of Dr. Chandrika Anand, a senior Gynaecologist, who helps us ensure that our methods remain safe and effective. We focus on:

  • Bandha-Focused Practice: Using energy locks like Mula Bandha and Uddiyana Bandha to support endocrine health.
  • Stress Reduction: High cortisol is often a major factor in hormonal issues. We integrate Yoga Nidra and mindful breathing to bring your nervous system back into balance.
  • Dynamic Flows: We use modified Surya Namaskars to aid metabolic conditioning, adapted to your energy levels for that specific day.

Everything happens in a safe, women-only batch in our Nagarbhavi studio. There is no judgment here, just a group of women supporting each other through the messiness of hormonal fluctuations. Whether you are dealing with irregular cycles or just need a space to de-stress, you can join us in-person or online.
