My Personal Yoga Practice: Asanas and Insights
Yoga isn't about the perfect pose; it’s about the feeling inside. This is my personal journey—through injuries, breakthroughs, and the simple act of showing up.
A moment of expression with the magnificent Jog Falls as my backdrop. This Ustrasana (Camel Pose) variation felt like an offering to the landscape, a way to connect with the vastness of nature.
Practicing Natarajasana (Dancer's Pose) in a field in Gokarna. For me, setting a stage for practice is like worshipping the body, finding beauty in the movement and the surroundings.

This is me, then. A full Hanumanasana (split) in a field, feeling completely open and connected to the earth. Flexibility is a state that comes and goes.
This is me, now. The split is not as deep, and that's okay. The body adapts. The journey of regaining flexibility is a practice in patience and self-compassion.
About this collection
If you are looking for cookie-cutter routines, that’s not it. I focus on adapting movements to your body’s current state. Whether you are dealing with a past injury or just want to find your rhythm, we work with what you have—sometimes pushing, sometimes healing, but always listening.
My practice is a conversation with the body. It changes daily—some days it is calm, other days it is a challenge. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga-inspired flows, but I lean heavily on Iyengar alignment techniques when we need to focus on specific injuries or structural support.
How We Work Together
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because I know what it’s like to have a body that complains. I have navigated my own shoulder injuries and ligament tears, so I know the value of muscle memory and adapting to your limits.
- For the body that needs support: We use props like the Iyengar rope wall, bolsters, and chairs. This is excellent for spinal decompression and getting into those deeper stretches safely.
- For the mind that needs a break: My Pranayama and Vinyasa sessions focus on breathwork to calm the nervous system, helping you move from the 'noise' to the 'silence.'
- For the spirit of connection: Our Cubbon Park sessions are open, outdoor, and real. We move under the trees, stretch, and often share a post-practice snack.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need to be flexible to start? Not at all. Flexibility is a state that comes and goes. We start with where you are today.
Where do you hold sessions? I lead small group sessions at Latibule Wellness in Malleshwaram and open-air classes at Cubbon Park. I also teach online, so you can join from home.
What if I have an injury? That is exactly why I use props and restorative techniques. We build the practice around your capacity, not against it.
