Stop looking for shortcuts. I build disciplined, focused, and strong children through consistent, practical yoga. No flashy trends—just real, lasting habits.

I am incredibly proud of Sparsha, a national-level swimmer who trained with us. Her testimonial shows how yoga directly improves athletic performance by increasing strength, mobility, and concentration. Her mother also shares how the practice helped reduce anxiety before competitions.

Listen to what Keerthi, one of my young students, has to say. After seven months of regular practice, she feels more energetic and flexible. It is important that my teachers provide personal correction so every child learns the right way.

Here is a look inside my yoga classes for kids. You will see children learning focus through meditation, developing flexibility with guided poses, and building strength with dynamic movements. I ensure every class is a positive and encouraging space.

Every journey starts with a single step. Here is Anshuk on his first day, learning the fundamentals of Surya Namaskara. I have great respect for his father who brings him at 6 am and practices alongside him, setting a powerful example.

This is what progress looks like. A year ago, young Tatva was just learning how to roll his mat. Now, he is consistent in his practice. Yoga teaches children discipline and responsibility in small, everyday actions.

It is inspiring to see young dedication. Usha is only 15 and has decided to make yoga her career. She uses her weekends to train as a teacher, showing a level of commitment that is rare and admirable.

I believe yoga should be accessible to everyone. Here, I am conducting an outdoor yoga session for government school children at Cubbon Park. Bringing health and happiness to the community is at the core of what I do.

Celebrating achievement is important. Here I am with two of my students, one young and one adult, after they successfully completed the 108 Surya Namaskara challenge. It is a moment of pride for the entire community.

We are more than just a yoga studio; we are a community. Here we are celebrating a student's birthday with her family after class. These moments of shared joy are what make The Happy Yoga Community special.

Another happy moment at the studio, celebrating the birthday of our little yogi, Pranavi. It is wonderful to see these kids grow in their practice and as individuals within our community.

About Yoga for Kids & Young Athletes

I don’t turn yoga into entertainment for children. My sessions focus on foundational alignment, using blocks and belts to help growing bodies develop strength and correct posture issues caused by heavy school bags or excessive screen time. We start with specific breathing techniques to build concentration, which is just as vital for a school student as it is for a young athlete needing to calm pre-competition nerves.

Yoga is not about performing for Instagram. It is about showing up, doing the work, and letting the discipline speak for itself. In our Kids and Young Athlete programs, we emphasize the boring stuff that actually works: rigorous Surya Namaskars for stamina, Iyengar-style holds for alignment, and traditional chanting to expand lung capacity.

Whether your child is an aspiring athlete like our national-level swimmers, or just needs a break from the constant pressure of academic competition, the goal remains the same: steady progress. We do not force poses. We use props like wall ropes and bolsters to support your child’s specific anatomy, ensuring they get the full benefit of a posture without risking injury.

For young athletes, we specifically target recovery and mental clarity. Training at our centers in Srinagar, Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Naagarabhaavi, Hosakerehalli, and Subramanyapura, we work on breath retention and focus, helping students manage anxiety before exams or matches.

If you want your child to learn how to roll their mat, put in the daily effort, and grow stronger inside and out, this is where you start. Consistency is the only path. Theek hai?

I am Bharath. For thirteen years, I have taught yoga not as a hobby, but as a way of life. I work with children and athletes to build strength and mental discipline that sticks, stripping away the shortcuts to focus on what actually serves the body.
