I believe yoga is a journey, not a destination. My sessions for children focus on finding calm, focus, and strength through play, not pressure.
I believe in leading by example. Here, while I hold Chakrasana, a young student finds her own center in a simple prayer pose. This is the heart of my teaching: creating a space where children can watch, learn, and grow at their own pace, finding their own expression of yoga.
A look inside one of my kids yoga sessions. We move, we stretch, we laugh, and we learn together. From energetic standing poses to quiet seated meditation, each class is a blend of playful `masti` (fun) and focused practice, helping children build body awareness and inner calm.
This is what brings me the greatest joy: seeing yoga connect generations. Here, a child, parent, and grandparent practice together, proving that yoga truly is for everyone. It's a beautiful reminder that the mat is a place where families can share a journey of health and togetherness.
The simplest act of breathing is our most powerful tool. I teach children to connect with their breath, to inhale and exhale with awareness. This is the foundation of mindfulness, a small practice that helps them find a quiet space within, no matter what is happening around them.

I keep my groups small, with only 4 to 8 children, so I can give individual attention to posture and technique. Instead of dry drills, we use storytelling and animal mimicry to teach Hatha Yoga, helping children correct posture issues like tech-neck while they simply have fun moving.
My approach is built on the concept of 'Ahista, Ahista'—slow and steady. In a world of fast-paced stimulation, I teach children how to simply stop and breathe.
What to expect in a session: We don't aim for perfect asanas. We aim for engagement. My sessions integrate playful movement with mindfulness activities, helping kids understand their own bodies. We work on:
- Posture Correction: Addressing the stiffness caused by long hours of screen time.
- Emotional Regulation: Teaching breathwork (Pranayama) as a tool they can use anytime they feel overwhelmed.
- Foundational Strength: Building balance and flexibility that grows with them.
Everything I teach is rooted in the tradition of Hatha Yoga, made accessible for the 6 to 12 age group. We practice in a dedicated space in Electronic City, but I am here to help families across Bangalore build a sustainable, healthy habit.
