About Yoga with Props: Alignment & Support
Don't worry if you can't touch your toes or struggle with balance. In our classes, we don't just push you into a pose; we use tools like Iyengar-style rope walls, wooden blocks, and chairs to bridge the gap. It is about understanding your body's limits and safely extending them, which is why our trainers are always hands-on with manual adjustments to fix your posture right from the start.
Think of props as an extension of your own body. Whether it is a strap to help you reach your foot, a wheel to safely open up your chest, or a chair to hold a pose without straining your knees, these tools help you find the correct alignment without the risk of injury. In our studio, we see many students who are hesitant about their flexibility, but with the right prop, they find themselves holding poses they never thought possible. We focus heavily on Hatha Yoga and alignment-based practice, where the goal is stability. By using props, you get the full benefits of the pose—whether it is spinal traction using our wall-mounted rope system or deep stretching with the help of yoga rings—rather than just struggling to 'get into the shape.' This makes our classes incredibly inclusive for people of all ages and fitness levels in Model Town. You learn to listen to your body, understand your alignment, and move with breath, which is the heart of every class we run. It’s not just about doing the move; it’s about doing it safely and effectively.
