Bhajans and Devotional Music in Rohini
We believe music is a path to the divine. Here, our students share their devotion through bhajans and classical renditions, bringing the spirit of Aradhana to life at community gatherings like the Mandala Puja.

About Devotion in Music: Bhajans & Aradhana
Performing at the Ayyappa Temple requires more than just technical skill. When our students take the stage for Swarveni Aradhana, they learn to offer their music as a prayer, a practice we refine through hours of rigorous riyaz and emotional conditioning at our Rohini academy.
In our tradition, music is not just entertainment, it is a way to reach the divine. Whether a student is singing a simple Ram bhajan or presenting a complex classical composition, the goal is always the same: to find the 'bhaav' within every note. At Swarveni Gurukul, we do not just teach students to hit the right pitch. We teach them the patience required to let a raga unfold.
Our 'Swarveni Aradhana' events are where this training meets reality. We organize these programs at local spaces like the Ayyappa Temple in Rohini to help students bridge the gap between the classroom and a live audience. Performing in front of a community during festivals like Mandala Puja is a crucial part of our Guru-Shishya parampara. It teaches the artist to stay grounded while their music reaches out to the listeners.
We welcome students of all ages. If you are looking to learn Hindustani vocal music, or if you simply want to understand the devotional roots of our classical traditions, you will find a place here. We do not rush the process. We focus on the basics, the structure of the raga, and the clarity of the voice, ensuring that every student understands that music is a lifelong journey. Join us at our Rohini academy to begin your own practice, or attend one of our upcoming baithaks to see how we approach this art form.
