Architectural Design & Structural Consultancy
Phase 1: Conceptualisation & Narrative
- Site Analysis: Detailed study of sun path, wind direction, and surrounding landscape to orient the building.
- Design Iterations: Development of up to 3 spatial concepts utilizing sketches and physical scale models.
- 3D Visualization: Artistic renders to visualize volume, light, and shadow.
Phase 2: Technical Development & Sanctioning
- Liaison Drawings: Preparation of drawings required for local authority approvals.
- Structural Coordination: Collaboration with engineers for complex features like cantilevered roofs or steel frames.
- MEP Integration: Basic electrical and plumbing layout planning to ensure pipes do not obstruct exposed aesthetics.
Phase 3: Detailed Construction Documentation (GFC)
- Civil Drawings: Dimension plans for foundation, masonry, and lintels.
- Shuttering/Formwork: Technical details for setting molds for exposed concrete pours.
- Facade Details: Drawings for external screens, louvers, and window placements.
- External Joinery: Design of custom main gates, compound walls, and external railings.
Phase 4: Site Supervision
- Periodic Visits: 2 to 3 visits per month to check reinforcement and formwork before concrete pours.
- Material Selection: Assistance in selecting shell materials like cement grade, stone cladding, and roofing tiles.

Base Architecture
- Includes: All services listed in the Architectural Design & Structural Consultancy package.
Detailed Interior Architecture
- Flooring Design: Layout plans for patterns, mixed materials, inlay work, or terrazzo mixing.
- Reflected Ceiling Plans: Design of false ceilings, light coves, and architectural lighting fixture placement.
- Staircase Design: Engineering and aesthetic design for feature staircases.
Fixed Joinery & Woodwork
- Custom Partitions: Drawings for operable screens (rattan/teak/brass) to divide spaces.
- Built-in Furniture: Design of window seats, bay window storage, vanity counters, and fixed shelving.
- Kitchen & Wardrobe: Layout and elevation design for modular units.
Bathroom & Wet Areas
- Toilet Details: Stone layouts, niche designs, glass partition details, and sanitary ware selection.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Artisan Coordination: Managing specialized agencies for in-situ Terrazzo, Oxide flooring, or stone carving.
- Showroom Visits: Visits to select veneers, fabrics, soft furnishings, and loose furniture.
- Snagging: Final check of finishes and joint alignments before handover.

- Nature is always part of the plan - think open courtyards, verandahs to watch the rain, and "borrowed landscapes" where your house almost steals a bit of that park next door.
- Light is a big deal for us. We play with skylights, canopies, and screens to create those shifting shadows and glowy corners that change through the day.
- We keep it real with materials. Exposed concrete interiors, natural wood, Kota or Sadarhalli stone, and brick - you’ll see these raw and honest in our work.

My Story
We’re Studio Motley. Architecture for us isn’t just walls and roofs, it’s about stitching together stories. We love mixing old-school Indian crafts with modern touches - like Channapatna wood or a Thangka panel. Every project, we chat a lot with clients and our craftsmen, working out the little details. For us, a home’s got to have soul, not just look pretty.
