From raw clay bodies to finished tableware, this collection captures the foundation of my work. I bring together the materials and knowledge I use in my own practice, making studio-grade pottery accessible to every learner in Mumbai.

This is the foundation of my craft. I source a wide range of raw materials, from various clays like Red Terracotta and China Clay to essential minerals like Silica, Feldspar, and Grog. I believe having access to quality, tested materials is the first step in any potter's journey.

The magic of glaze chemistry, displayed in a library of test tiles. Each square represents countless hours of testing to perfect a color, texture, and finish. I provide these tested glazes and the knowledge to help you understand how they interact with different clay bodies and firing temperatures.

It was a pleasure to host a workshop where we explored different clays and techniques. You can see us discussing custom-made tools, like a perfectly balanced paddle, and demonstrating faceting on the wheel. Sharing this practical knowledge is at the heart of what I do.

A glimpse of what's possible with our stoneware clay and glazes. This cobalt blue cup, part of a limited edition set, shows the beautiful, deep color you can achieve. The form is simple, designed for everyday use, proving that functionality and art can coexist.

I often get asked why I started supplying materials. The answer is simple: when I began, nothing was available, so I had to make it myself. This led me to think, "Why not me?" I wanted to make the path easier for the next generation of potters in India.

A finished piece from my Shibui Collection, finding its place in a quiet moment. This stoneware mug features a bronze metallic glaze that catches the light beautifully. It’s a reminder that the materials we use can create objects that become part of our daily rituals.

A look inside the kiln before a glaze firing. These small, numbered test tiles are crucial for understanding how glazes will behave. This process of testing is a form of 'riyaaz', or practice, that ensures predictable and beautiful results.

About Featured

When you are starting out, finding consistent clay and reliable tools is the hardest part. I do not just supply these materials; I use the exact same terracotta, stoneware, and handcrafted trimming tools in my own daily practice. You are not buying generic stock here—you are getting materials tested for Mumbai’s climate and my specific high-fire firing standards.

From Earth to Object: The Foundation of My Practice

Pottery is a discipline of repetition. Over the years, I realized that many students struggled to find materials that actually worked for Indian conditions, so I started sourcing and testing them myself. This collection represents the core elements you need to build your craft.

Why Material Choice Matters

Whether you are hand-building an idol or throwing stoneware tableware, the clay body dictates your success.

  • Red and Yellow Terracotta: Ideal for low-fire projects like garden ware or traditional idols.
  • Signature Stoneware: My go-to for high-fire pieces. It contains the perfect amount of grog to provide strength, ensuring your pieces survive the kiln without cracking.

Tools That Feel Like an Extension

I grew tired of generic, flimsy tools that broke or felt unbalanced. My workshop series includes hand-carved hardwood paddles and high-carbon steel trimming tools, modeled after traditional Japanese designs. These are crafted to be ergonomically correct, allowing you to work longer without fatigue.

The Process of Learning

This studio is built on the belief that everyone can learn. Beyond the materials, this cluster highlights our workshop process—where you create the piece, and we handle the technical glazing and firing. If you are looking to move from a hobbyist to a serious maker, we offer the guidance to help you understand the chemistry of glazes and the mechanics of wheel throwing. Everything you see here is the result of years of testing, failing, and refining—the real 'riyaaz' of pottery.
