About Pottery Studio Membership & Services
Pottery as Practice
For me, pottery is pure 'riyaaz' (dedicated practice). It’s not about shortcuts or quick tricks. You keep working with clay till your hands and the piece start talking to each other. That’s the vibe here.
The Studio: Your Creative Adda
This place is meant to be your creative adda (hangout spot) right in the middle of Mumbai. If you already know your way around clay and just need a space to work, this is it. You’ll find electric wheels, big tables for hand-building, all the tools you need, and your own shelf for work-in-progress.
How Membership Works
If you’re comfortable working solo but want a proper pottery co-working space, our studio membership for independent potters is for you. You get access to everything during working hours. Clay and kiln firing services are separate, so you only pay for what you use. No hidden stuff.
Firing & Glazing
Once you finish your pieces, we handle the technical side - bisque and glaze firing in our electric kilns. You pick your glaze from our palette. The whole process takes about 3-4 weeks, and we’ll ping you when your ceramics are ready.
More Than Just a Studio
You’ll find a ceramic artist community here - people sharing ideas, sometimes arguing about technique, always learning. I’m around most days, and we host workshops with international artists. If you want to go deeper, there’s a 4-month pottery residency program too.
If you want a space that’s real, not fancy, and all about the work, you’ll fit right in.

My Story
Hi, Sandeep here. When I started pottery, good clay and tools were tough to find. Students kept asking, 'Where do we get stuff?' No clue. Old timers would say, 'हमारे टाइम में तो मिलता ही नहीं था, आप लोग तो बहुत लकी हैं.' (Back then, nothing was available, you folks are lucky.) So I thought, why not me? Studio White & Gray began to build a space for potters in Mumbai. Pottery’s my riyaaz, a discipline. The studio’s a spot for all – to learn, make, and connect. It’s not just clay, it’s finding yourself.
