About Pottery Supplies & Custom Equipment
I set up this space because I know how tough it is to find good pottery supplies and equipment that actually work for Indian conditions. I’ve been through the struggle of sourcing reliable stuff, so I decided to make it easier for others.
Materials I Trust
- I keep the same clay bodies and glazes I use for my own work and classes. You’ll find Red and Yellow Terracotta for earthy pieces, and the stoneware we use for our tableware.
- If you’re into mixing your own clay, I can help you source raw materials like China Clay, Feldspar, Bentonite, and Silica. I get the chemistry side, so you can ask me anything.
- My glaze selection isn’t just about pretty colours. The studio is a place for glaze testing and learning, so you get both the supplies and the know-how.
Tools That Feel Right
- Some tools here are handcrafted pottery tools made by us, not just picked off a shelf. If you want something custom, like a trimming tool or paddle, I can make it or tweak it for you.
- I don’t sell pottery wheels, but I use studio-grade pottery equipment and can guide you on what to look for and where to get a solid wheel. No big brands, just what works.
I believe in ‘riyaaz’ (practice). The right tools and materials make all the difference. If you’re serious about your craft, I’m here to help you get set up properly.

My Story
Hi, Sandeep here. When I started pottery, good clay and tools were tough to find. Students kept asking, 'Where do we get stuff?' No clue. Old timers would say, 'हमारे टाइम में तो मिलता ही नहीं था, आप लोग तो बहुत लकी हैं.' (Back then, nothing was available, you folks are lucky.) So I thought, why not me? Studio White & Gray began to build a space for potters in Mumbai. Pottery’s my riyaaz, a discipline. The studio’s a spot for all – to learn, make, and connect. It’s not just clay, it’s finding yourself.
