About Pottery Workshops & Classes
Pottery as Practice
Pottery for us is riyaaz (practice). You don’t get it right the first time, and honestly, that’s the point. It’s about letting your hands figure things out, not chasing perfection. The clay teaches you, not the other way round.
Escape the Mumbai Chaos
Our studio is a break from the city’s madness. You walk in, and suddenly it’s just you and the clay. Feels like therapy, but you leave with something real - your own pot, mug, or whatever you make. People come solo, with friends, or even office groups. Everyone’s welcome.
Workshops for Every Level
- If you’re new, try our wheel pottery experience or make your own mug using the pinching method. Just halke haath se (gently), no pressure.
- Want something different? We run ceramic jewelry making and painting workshops. Around festivals, you can join our eco-friendly Ganesha workshop.
- For those who want to go deep, we have masterclasses like Raku firing and sessions on clay glazing techniques. Sometimes, international potters drop by for demos.
How Your Pot Comes to Life
You make your piece, we handle the finishing, glazing, and firing. Takes a couple of weeks, so patience is part of the deal. We’ll ping you when it’s ready.
Community First
I started this because हमारे टाइम में तो मिलता ही नहीं था (in our time, we didn’t get these things). Now, the studio has everything you need. Anyone can walk in and discover what their hands can do. Come see for yourself.

My Story
Hi, Sandeep here. When I started pottery, good clay and tools were tough to find. Students kept asking, 'Where do we get stuff?' No clue. Old timers would say, 'हमारे टाइम में तो मिलता ही नहीं था, आप लोग तो बहुत लकी हैं.' (Back then, nothing was available, you folks are lucky.) So I thought, why not me? Studio White & Gray began to build a space for potters in Mumbai. Pottery’s my riyaaz, a discipline. The studio’s a spot for all – to learn, make, and connect. It’s not just clay, it’s finding yourself.
