At our ashram, we treat yoga as a 'work in' rather than a workout. Join us for a journey that moves beyond the mat to explore silence, philosophy, and the stillness within.

Meditation is how we break the shell from the inside, allowing a new you to emerge. In this philosophy talk, I explain how stillness is the most powerful way to initiate true transformation.

What is yoga? It is studying about you to know that you are not you. Our outdoor philosophy sessions explore the profound, often paradoxical, wisdom of yogic texts.

When yoga and Ayurveda come together, they teach you the art of living. I explain how this ancient combination is the best way to deal with modern trauma and stress.

We gather for a sacred fire ceremony, or puja. A student participates in the ritual, an ancient practice of making offerings to the fire as a symbol of transformation and connection to the divine.

This video captures the essence of a Ramanavami celebration at our ashram. We come together for chanting, offerings, and a fire puja, immersing ourselves in the devotional heart of yoga.

A pilgrim is one who journeys to find their soul's true home. Here, I lead a group in a sacred ceremony, inviting each student to begin their own spiritual journey with us.

The smoke from the sacred fire purifies the space as we sit in meditation. This is the essence of our practice: a spiritual quest to connect with the divine within.

We gather in a circle for a fire ceremony, a practice that builds powerful group energy. This is a space for release, intention-setting, and deep connection with the self and the community.

To sit, learn, and grow with yoga masters is a priceless experience. Here, students and teachers engage in kirtan, the practice of devotional chanting, accompanied by a guitar.

"Let go of any kind of fear or tension." During our meditation sessions, I guide students to release emotional blockages, offering gentle touch to help them feel safe and supported.

About The Spiritual Journey: Meditation & Philosophy

True meditation is not just closing your eyes, but breaking the shell from the inside so life can come out. During our philosophy sessions, we do not just lecture; we examine ancient texts to understand why we are here. Whether it is through pranayama, chanting, or quiet reflection, we focus on the practices that help you shed layers of tension you have been carrying for years.

In a world that keeps us busy, finding time to sit with yourself is an act of courage. Our philosophy classes are not academic; they are inquiries into your own nature. We gather under the trees or in the shala to discuss the deeper purpose of yoga, connecting the ancient wisdom of texts with your lived experience.

The fire ceremonies, or pujas, are an essential part of this rhythm. When we offer to the sacred fire, we are making a physical manifestation of internal release. It is a time for setting intentions and finding community. You will also experience kirtan, where devotional chanting brings a different kind of silence after the music fades.

These practices—meditation, pranayama, and philosophy—are the foundation of our residential yoga teacher training. They are what turn a physical practice into a lifelong habit of healing. You will leave with tools to manage trauma and stress, not just for your students, but for your own daily life. The ashram, with its red oxide floors, sattvic diet, and quiet surroundings near Ramanagar, provides the container for this profound transformation.
