Life at the Ashram: Residential Yoga & Community
Experience a 4-week immersion into sattvic living, nature, and the deeper philosophy of yoga at our quiet Ramanagar campus.
This is what post-ashram energy looks like. You don't just leave with a certificate; you leave with a new frequency and a family of friends from all over the world.
Namaste. I heartily welcome you to experience ashram life with our residential teacher training course. It is more than just hours; it is about the experience of living yoga in a beautiful, natural place.
The ashram life is a return to what truly matters. It's about fresh air, quiet mornings, learning to slow down, and finding joy in simple moments like playing with leaves.
We embrace the magic of Holi, reconnecting with our inner child and painting our hearts with love and laughter. Celebrations like these are a joyful part of our community life.
Om sweet om. This collage captures the feeling of our ashram: laughter by the water, the glow of ceremonial fire, and the beauty of fresh flowers. It is our home.
Laughter is a form of yoga too. Students share a moment of pure joy by the water, a reminder that the spiritual path is also filled with lightheartedness and connection.
Yoga is in everything we do, including preparing food. Here, I am serving a simple, sattvic meal, an act of service and mindfulness that is central to our life at the ashram.
We connect with the ancient wisdom of nature by gathering around a majestic old tree. This act of hugging the tree reminds us of our roots and our connection to all living things.
Our food is simple, fresh, and often grown right here at the ashram. Holding a bunch of bananas from our garden is a joyful reminder of nature's abundance.
Spontaneous moments of dance and laughter in the sun are a common sight here. Life at the ashram is about finding freedom and joy in movement, both on and off the mat.
About Life at the Ashram: Community & Nature
When you join our residential program, you step into a community that lives as one. Your daily rhythm includes eating fresh, home-grown sattvic meals, participating in karma yoga by helping with ashram tasks, and living in simple, quiet surroundings that strip away city distractions so you can focus entirely on your inner journey.
Our 7-acre campus in Ramanagar is designed to facilitate a 'work-in' rather than a workout. We focus on creating a space where the noise of the city fades, allowing you to establish a consistent daily practice. Living here means embracing a simpler pace. You will share dormitory spaces, take meals together, and learn through direct, daily contact with teachers.
Why Ashram Living Matters
Yoga is not just what happens on the mat for 90 minutes. It is how you wake up, how you nourish your body, and how you relate to your environment.
- Sattvic Diet: We provide two large, fresh vegetarian meals daily, using produce often grown on our own land.
- Karma Yoga: Every student participates in daily chores. This is not busywork. It is a practice of mindfulness and service that keeps our space running.
- Nature Connection: Our naturally ventilated halls and open grounds allow you to practice in the company of birds and trees, grounding your energy in the earth rather than a studio.
Preparing for Your Stay
Our residential yoga teacher training requires patience and an openness to change. We do not offer luxury amenities; we offer a sanctuary for genuine growth. You will find that the most significant transformation happens during the quiet moments—over tea, during group discussions, or while sitting in meditation. If you are looking for a community that values authenticity over certification, you will find your place here.
