Experience the uplifting energy of our Sunday Satsang. This video shows our community engaged in kirtan, or devotional chanting, a practice that quiets the mind and opens the heart.

A special satsang led by Yoga Acharya Prahlada. These sessions with senior teachers offer profound insights and a chance to connect more deeply with the teachings of the Sivananda lineage.

We were honored to host a special satsang with Swami Govindananda. These events are a cherished opportunity for our community to receive guidance and inspiration directly from senior Swamis.

About Satsang: The Heart of Our Community

You do not need to be an expert to join us. Our satsangs are informal, welcoming spaces where we practice 30 minutes of silence, sing kirtan, and discuss simple, practical philosophies that apply to your daily stress. It is a quiet reset for the week ahead, held right here at our centre in Kailash Colony.

Satsang, which translates to 'association with the wise', is the pulse of our centre. In a city as busy as Delhi, these gatherings provide a rare opportunity to step back and find stillness. We believe that meditation is more effective when done as a group; the collective energy helps quiet the mind far more quickly than practicing alone.

What to expect at our Satsang

Our sessions follow a structured yet deeply personal flow designed to foster inner peace:

  • Silent Meditation: We begin with 30 minutes of group sitting. This is not about emptying the mind by force, but about learning to observe it.
  • Kirtan (Chanting): We sing traditional mantras together. This devotional practice helps release emotional blocks and creates a vibrant, uplifting atmosphere in the hall.
  • Philosophy Talk: We conclude with a reading or a short discussion on the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda. We focus on how these ancient principles apply to modern challenges like work stress, relationships, and finding balance.

Why join us?

Satsang is open to everyone, regardless of your experience level. Whether you are a regular student or have never stepped into a yoga studio before, you are welcome to sit with us. There is no fee for these gatherings; they are our contribution to the spiritual well-being of the South Delhi community.

We encourage you to come with an open mind. If you are new to the practice, feel free to sit and observe. You will find that our community is diverse, supportive, and dedicated to the simple goal of finding peace through yoga.
