An open, relaxed space in Gurgaon where we gather for shared meditation, chanting, and honest talk about life, beyond the yoga mat.

Participants listen with focus during an in person satsang. These sessions are not lectures but shared explorations into topics that matter, guided by the principles of Sivananda philosophy.

Our community gathers in meditation to celebrate 21 years of the Sivananda Yoga Centre in Gurgaon. It is a moment of collective stillness and gratitude for the journey we have shared.

A wide view of our New Year's satsang, with our community gathered to welcome the year with positive intentions. The decorated tree in the background adds a festive, yet serene, touch to our spiritual gathering.

I guide a large group through meditation during a special satsang. My role is to hold the space and offer guidance, allowing each person to connect with their own inner stillness.

This montage shows the vibrant life at our centre, from the sacredness of puja to the discipline of asana practice and the quiet attention of a satsang. It captures the holistic approach we take to yoga and spiritual life.

A participant finds a moment of deep inner quiet during our anniversary satsang. The harmonium in the foreground suggests the role of kirtan and devotional music in our practice.

People of all ages, including a young child, participate in our community meditation. We believe that spiritual practice is for everyone, and we encourage families to share the experience.

About this collection

Our satsangs are not lectures, but shared explorations. We start with group meditation to clear the mental chatter, followed by chanting, and then open the floor for honest discussion. It is a space where you can share your questions about life, money, or relationships, or simply sit in the silence of a community that understands the need to slow down.

Many people come to us feeling the weight of the city. Our centre in Gurgaon has been a quiet anchor for over two decades, not just for physical postures, but for what happens when we stop moving. A satsang is essentially a meeting of truth. We strip away the spiritual jargon and focus on what matters: how to live with clarity, handle stress, and find genuine connection in a world that keeps us constantly running.

When you join us at the centre, expect a simple rhythm. We begin with silent meditation, which helps settle the mind. We follow this with kirtan, using traditional chanting to shift the energy in the room. The heart of the session is the discourse—an open dialogue where we explore Sivananda philosophy alongside the everyday challenges of modern life. Whether you are grappling with work-life balance, family relationships, or a persistent sense of restlessness, this is a space to explore those questions without judgment.

We keep it informal. There is no dress code, no requirement to be a seasoned practitioner, and no need to perform spirituality. Some people come to sit in silence, others come to share their struggles or successes. It is a sangha—a community of seekers—learning to support one another. If you have been looking for a place in Gurgaon to pause, breathe, and reset, come as you are.

I have been teaching and holding space here since 2004, and I have learned that the most profound shifts happen in simple, shared silence. My goal is to make these ancient teachings accessible and practical for your daily life, away from the noise of the city.
