About Satsang: Gatherings in Truth
Our Sunday sessions are where the teachings truly come alive. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time practitioner, we sit together in the quiet presence of our lineage, alternating between guided meditation, heart-opening kirtan, and inspiring discourse that bridges ancient wisdom with your daily life here in Bangalore.
What to Expect
When you walk into our satsang, you aren't just attending an event. You are joining a sangha, a spiritual family. Our gatherings are anchored by the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and are designed to help you disconnect from the city's noise and reconnect with the stillness within.
The Rhythm of Our Gatherings
- Meditation and Kirtan: Every session includes periods of silent meditation and soulful chanting. Music is central to our practice; we use the harmonium and voice to open the heart and prepare the mind for stillness.
- Practical Wisdom: You will hear talks that address real-world challenges. From managing karma to balancing family life with spiritual practice, we explore how to apply these timeless principles in a modern context.
- Hybrid Participation: We embrace technology to keep our community connected. While we gather in person at the Rotary Club in Indiranagar, we often feature hybrid sessions with Nayaswami Jyotish and Devi, allowing us to receive guidance directly from those who have dedicated their lives to these teachings.
A Space for Everyone
We provide floor cushions and chairs to ensure you are comfortable, allowing you to focus on your inner state rather than physical distractions. After the meditation, we share prasad, a small offering of food, which is a lovely time to meet fellow seekers. There is no need for experience or formal attire. Bring an open heart and a willingness to explore, and you will find your place among us.
Ananda Sangha
We are a group of friends walking the path of Kriya Yoga together, not as gurus, but as fellow travelers. We invite you to sit with us, chant with us, and share in the simple joy that comes from Yogananda's scientific meditation techniques.
