Reformer Pilates: Precision & Control
Experience the precision of Reformer Pilates in our device-free Whitefield studio. These small-batch sessions prioritize alignment, core strength, and breath, helping you move with intention in a space designed for calm.
This video demonstrates various exercises on the Pilates reformer, from core-stabilizing bridges to arm work with straps. It shows how the machine guides you to keep moving and maintain your balance through every motion.
Two members work in sync on their reformers, focusing on their breath and balance. The "breathe. balance." on the wall is a constant reminder of the mindful approach we take in every class.
This brief tour of our studio includes a look at our dedicated Reformer Pilates area. You can see a member engaged in a session, highlighting the personal attention given in our small group classes.
About this collection
In our semi-private Reformer sessions, we keep group sizes strictly to 3 or 4 participants. This allows our instructors to provide direct, hands-on guidance for your alignment, ensuring you aren't just moving through the motions, but truly engaging your core and protecting your joints with every pull and press.
While the Reformer machine is a tool for building functional strength and control, we use it differently here. You won't find loud music, aggressive rep-counting, or mirrors reflecting your every move. Instead, we focus on the resistance provided by the springs and pulleys to help you find stability and balance at your own pace.
Why we focus on small-batch Reformer
Most Pilates classes pack the room to capacity, which makes it nearly impossible for an instructor to notice if your alignment is off. We do the opposite. With a maximum of 4 people per session, the instruction is highly personalized. Whether you are working on your posture, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to build deeper core strength, we ensure you are using the equipment safely and effectively.
More than just a workout
We believe that physical movement should lead to mental clarity. This is why our Reformer sessions are part of the SAMA calm mind practice. We integrate breathwork and intentional pauses throughout the 60 minutes, and every session concludes with a moment of guided relaxation or meditation. It is our way of helping you step off the carriage feeling not just stronger, but quieter in the head.
What to expect at our Whitefield studios
We operate two locations in Whitefield, both built with the same sanctuary-like principles. We maintain a digital detox policy, so we ask you to deposit your devices in our lockers before entering. This protects the environment of the studio and allows you to disconnect from digital noise. The space is equipped with commercial-grade reformers, and our instructors are trained to guide you through beginner-friendly setups and advanced resistance work, regardless of your fitness level.
Sama
We started SAMA because we saw how noisy modern life had become. Here, you won't find mirrors or screens, just a space to move your body and quiet your mind using our Reformer setups.
