Boxing Drills & Conditioning Training
It’s not about how hard you hit; it’s about how sharp you are. From ladder drills to partner tire work, we build your speed, reflexes, and footwork right here in our full-sized ring.
We use simple tools for effective training. This defense drill uses a hoop to teach boxers to stay in range and control their footwork during an exchange.
A partner tyre drill. This unique exercise forces boxers to work on infighting and body punching in a confined space, building strength and endurance.
Boxing footwork drills are fundamental. Here, students are practicing their movement, ensuring they are balanced and light on their feet.
A boxing ladder drill. This improves agility, coordination, and foot speed, all crucial for effective movement in the ring.
Infighting is a tough skill. We use the heavy bag to practice close-range hooks and uppercuts, teaching students how to generate power when there's no space.
An advanced student working on the heavy bag. He is practicing his movement and combinations, treating the bag like a real opponent.
Learning head and body punches on the heavy bag. This is where we drill the fundamental techniques of punching.
About this collection
You won't find treadmills or fancy gym machines here. Our conditioning is about raw, functional movement—like the partner tire drills that force you to stay composed in tight spaces, or ladder work that sharpens your foot speed. If you are serious about fighting, not just looking the part, this is where you start.
Building the Fighter's Engine
Boxing is the only sport where you hit people while trying not to get hit. To do that, you need more than just raw power; you need the agility to move and the reflexes to react. At Rox, we strip away the fluff. We use simple tools—ladders, tires, hoops—to build complex movements.
Why We Train This Way
- Footwork is Everything: If your feet aren't set, you have no base for your punch. We drill movement until it becomes second nature, so you are always in a position to attack or defend.
- Reflex Training: Through partner mitt work, we train you to see openings and close them instantly. This isn't about gym strength; it's about neural speed.
- Conditioning for the Ring: Our conditioning isn't for aesthetics. We focus on stamina that carries you through the later rounds. You’ll be doing high-intensity drills in our Bommanahalli facility, designed to push your lungs and your will.
The Rox Approach in Bommanahalli
We train out of an industrial-style, non-AC gym because, frankly, the ring doesn't have air conditioning. You will sweat, you will work hard, and you will learn the 'why' behind every punch. Whether you are a total beginner learning to stand, or an intermediate boxer looking to sharpen your defense, we break down the mechanics. It's 'zinda' (alive) training—real work, real results.
Rox Boxing Gym
I built Rox to be a proper gym for fighters, not a fancy fitness club. When you walk through my doors, we are going to work on your technique, your speed, and your discipline—that is the only way to get better.
