At BANNG, located in Two Horizon Centre, Gurugram, we orchestrated a collision of cultures. The project is not just a restaurant interior; it is a manifestation of a cross-cultural culinary spirit. By layering Thai folklore with Indian artisanal sensibilities, we produced an environment that communicates through texture and light rather than standard decorative tropes.
The Anatomy of the Space
Our approach relied on a theatrical palette. We employed deep reds, blues, and golds to evoke a sense of drama that mirrors the intensity of the cuisine. The bar serves as the project's anchor, its form echoing traditional Thai architecture while remaining physically grounded in local context. We utilized checkerboard flooring and sculptural furniture to introduce a rhythmic geometry that guides the user through the space.
Designing for Atmosphere
We view architecture as a sensory journey. The lighting installation is engineered for transition; it allows the venue to remain vibrant and inviting during lunch hours while transforming into a deep, moody, and electric atmosphere as night falls.
