We translated the House of Masaba brand identity into a fluid, sculptural space. This flagship is a dialogue between Indian maximalism and modernism, where curved walls and terracotta hues create an environment that feels like a gallery and a sanctum.

The entrance, where the brand's signature tribal bust and a curving, vibrant red wall immediately immerse the visitor in the world of Masaba. The forms are soft and sculptural, a direct nod to the flow of fabric.

A close-up of the iconic black tribal bust, set against a pod-like enclosure. This is a key element of the brand's visual identity, integrated directly into the architectural narrative.

A fluted, sculptural column anchors a curving walkway. The entire space is finished in a tactile lime plaster, creating a soft, continuous surface that feels both ancient and contemporary.

A single garment is displayed like a piece of art against the curving, earthen-toned walls. The architecture acts as a quiet, respectful stage for the couture.

A bridal lehenga hangs in a dedicated niche, the rich red of the garment complementing the warm, earthy tones of the walls.

The space is a journey through a series of reveals and enclosures. Here, animal sculptures stand guard along a winding path, adding a touch of playful surrealism.

A private consultation nook, where traditional Indian furniture and rich red textiles create a sense of heritage and luxury.

A view into the consultation area, framed by a magnificent, antique carved wooden doorway. This is a dialogue between past and present, craft and couture.

A vignette showing a traditional console table and mirror, set against the backdrop of the store's curving, sculptural walls.

A view of a display area, where the organic forms of the walls and a classic armchair create a soft, inviting atmosphere.

About House of Masaba: A Sculptural Couture-scape

Architecture here is an exercise in sculptural fluidity. We eschewed standard rectilinear construction to create pod-like enclosures finished in tactile, hand-applied lime plaster. This material choice serves a dual purpose: it offers the softness of draped fabric, mirroring the couture on display, and establishes a muted, earthen backdrop that ensures the vibrant, maximalist pieces remain the focal point of the narrative.
