We designed this space as a theatrical experience, layering bold neon, tactile materials, and custom lighting to create a brand narrative that feels alive.

A wide view of the Lucky Chan dining area, showing the interplay between the large, graphic pendant lights and the various seating zones. The design ensures an open feel while maintaining intimate pockets for dining.

The "You Dim Sum You Lose Sum" neon sign adds a playful, quirky touch that embodies the brand's voice. It acts as a fun photo opportunity for guests and reinforces the restaurant's casual, energetic atmosphere.

We used backlit mirrors featuring the 'Lucky' cat mascot to add a layer of brand storytelling. The red neon glow creates a dynamic and engaging visual element along the main seating bank.

The 'Sushi Express' neon sign clearly defines the sushi bar area, using lighting as a functional and thematic tool. This is paired with a dramatic, tiered tassel chandelier to make the bar a distinct destination within the restaurant.

We used a deep red arched facade to frame the view into the restaurant, creating a dramatic entrance. This architectural choice piques curiosity from the outside and draws people into the vibrant world of Lucky Chan.

A view from a dining table shows the layers of design, from the lush greenery acting as a space divider to the soft glow of pendant lights and distant neon. This composition creates depth and visual interest throughout the restaurant.

This shot highlights the mix of materials, with warm brick flooring, light wood furniture, and soft pink upholstery. The layering of textures and colors contributes to the restaurant's warm and inviting yet modern feel.

A close up of the sushi bar, showcasing the custom tassel light fixture and the warm, indirect lighting on the back-bar display. This intimate seating area offers a different, more focused dining experience.

A textured wooden dowel wall adds a unique tactile element to the space, contrasting with the sleek bar and lush plants. This detail demonstrates our focus on materiality to create a rich sensory experience.

The custom designed lantern-style lights are a central feature, with bold geometric patterns that add a modern twist to a traditional form. They illuminate the space while also serving as large scale art installations.

About Lucky Chan: A Cinematic Dining Experience

The neon signage here serves a dual purpose beyond simple decor; it is our primary tool for zoning. By positioning the 'You Dim Sum You Lose Sum' glow specifically near the main seating, we draw the eye away from service and storage areas. This creates a powerful focal point that anchors the room's energy and defines the mood, ensuring the restaurant feels active rather than just furnished.
