About Competitive Swim Training
Where Competitive Swimmers Sharpen Their Edge
At Ray Center, I work with swimmers who want to go beyond basics and actually compete. This isn't just about swimming laps - it's about pushing for those small wins that add up to big results. If you’re ready to grind, get your strokes sorted, and feel the rush of a real race, you’ll fit right in here.
What Sets My Training Apart
- Every session is about more than just distance. I believe in technique first, so we drill down on every stroke and turn until you can do them clean, even when you’re tired.
- Consistency is non-negotiable. If you want to get faster, you have to show up and put in the work - no shortcuts.
- The squad is actually like a team - we push each other, but there’s zero ego. Everyone celebrates effort, not just medals.
Training Breakdown
- Race pace swim workouts: We do race simulations, practice starts, and regular time trials. You’ll get comfortable with real swim meet pressure.
- Advanced swim stroke technique: Classes focus on freestyle, backstroke, and even tough stuff like flip turns and underwater kicks.
- Strength & dryland: We train outside the pool too, targeting core and overall power so you actually see gains in the water.
- For anyone eyeing longer distances, I also coach for open water events like river marathons and sea swims.
Facilities & Achievements
- You’ll train at either our Olympic-size pool in Wilson Garden or our indoor heated pool in JP Nagar, both in Bangalore.
- Swimmers here have gone on to win medals at big meets and even placed at open water swims in Goa and Mumbai.
This is for those who want to train like a real competitor and don’t mind a bit of hard work.

My Story
You know, the best part about running Ray Center? It’s not just teaching freestyle or backstroke. It’s when we see kids who used to cling to the pool edge now jumping in, grinning ear to ear. Like that time Viraaj gave our coach a card, called us 'the best there could ever be.' That’s what makes us more than just a swimming place – we’re a family, cheering loud for every splash and every medal. Keep swimming, keep smiling!
