Pre-Competitive Squad
Water Training
- Facility: Priority usage of the 25m Indoor Semi-Olympic Pool (6 lanes, temperature controlled).
- Schedule: 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) for 60 minutes per session.
- Technique: Focus on mastering legal techniques for Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly per FINA rules.
- Skills: Instruction on lane etiquette, circle swimming, pace clock usage, and safe overtaking.
Dry-Land Conditioning
- Routine: 15-minute daily pre-swim activation focusing on shoulder mobility and hip flexibility.
- Drills: Basic partner stretching and coordination drills to build trust and core stability.
Progress Tracking
- Assessment: Quarterly stroke efficiency analysis by Junior Coaches.
- Competition: Preparation for intra-club meets to introduce race-day protocols like whistle commands and marshaling.
State & National Squad
Advanced Water Training
- Facility: Full access to the 50m Olympic Standard Pool (10 lanes) for Long Course training.
- Volume: 6 days a week with options for double sessions (Morning & Evening) during peak season.
- Duration: 90 to 120 minutes per session involving high-yardage aerobic conditioning.
- Race Skills: Drills for reaction time off the blocks, underwater dolphin kicking, and high-speed flip turns.
Specialized Dry-Land
- Swim Gym: Strength training using resistance bands and light weights specific to swim mechanics.
- Recovery: Weekly Acro-Yoga sessions for core stability and post-swim stretching to maintain range of motion.
Athlete Management
- Affiliation: Management of official registration with Karnataka Swimming Association (KSA).
- Trials: Monthly official time-trials to track Personal Bests under race conditions.
Elite High-Performance Program
Elite Coaching & Strategy
- Mentorship: Direct workout planning and oversight by Head Coach Bhushan Kumar.
- Planning: Custom macro-cycles designed to ensure peak performance coincides with major meets like Nationals or Khelo India.
- Analysis: Periodic underwater and above-water stroke filming to identify drag points and efficiency leaks.
High-Performance Conditioning
- Water Sets: Hypoxic training for breath control and ultra-specific sets simulating race speeds.
- Dry-Land: Advanced plyometrics for explosive power off the blocks and turns.
Competitive Edge
- Strategy: Pre-race visualization techniques and race strategy formulation regarding pacing and splitting.
- Specialization: Specific training for long-distance or open water events if required.
- Nutrition: General dietary guidance tailored to heavy training loads.

How We Train
- Training here means a mix of tough pool workouts and serious dry-land sessions. Expect everything from advanced swim stroke correction to core and strength workouts in our Swim Gym.
- Our coaches actually notice the small stuff - the perfect flip turn, those underwater dolphin kicks, nailing the start. It’s the little things that win races.
- You’ll hear a lot of “let’s go, let’s go!” and “last five!” – we keep things energetic, but also watch for injury prevention and flexibility through yoga and stretching.

My Story
We’re Swimsquare. Not your regular pool - we’re kinda obsessed with swimming and making it fun. Hosted the 19th Lifesaving Pool Nationals once, big deal for us. Our coaches keep learning, even from Olympic legends like Michael Bohl. You’ll see our kids doing acro yoga, battle ropes, and just messing around in the water after tough training. Every medal, every smile - it’s a win for our whole Swimsquare gang.
