This is a great beginner move to get comfortable with the hammock. We practice simple steps and holds to build confidence from the ground up.
Try this! This video shows a simple way to practice sitting in the aerial hammock, which is one of the first things we learn in a beginner class.
A basic entry into the hammock and a gentle swing. My beginner aerial yoga classes focus on these fundamentals to ensure you feel safe and supported.
Learning to stand and balance in the hammock is a key first step. I guide my students through these foundational movements with clear instructions.
This is a basic strength drill for beginners, using the hammock to support a pull-up motion. It's a great way to start building upper body strength.
Here I am demonstrating with the long aerial silks. Even for beginners, we can start with simple climbs and poses that are fun and build strength.
A simple and playful swing. Getting used to the movement of the hammock is an important part of the beginner's journey in my classes.
About Fun for All Ages: Kids & Beginners
You do not need to be flexible or fit to start here. We keep batches limited to 6-8 students so I can personally guide your grip, form, and alignment. It is normal to feel nervous or clumsy when you first step into the hammock, but that is exactly why we break every movement down into simple, manageable steps for beginners.
Finding Your Balance
I believe fitness should be about building a connection with your body, not just following a rigid plan. My studio in Goregaon is built on the idea that if you can move, you can fly.
If you are new to aerial yoga, we focus entirely on building your foundation. We start with simple hammock entries, learning to trust the fabric, and basic inversion drills. Aerial yoga is effective because the hammock takes the weight off your joints, making deep stretches more accessible than on a traditional mat. In these beginner sessions, we work on:
- Core Stability: Using the fabric for resistance.
- Flexibility: Safely deepening stretches for hips and back.
- Confidence: Learning to hang, swing, and invert at your own pace.
Kids Aerial & Motor Skills
For children, we lower the hammocks to 1-2 feet off the ground. It turns fitness into play. We combine swinging and cocooning with ground-based obstacle courses using yoga blocks and balls. The goal is simple: improve grip strength, develop motor skills, and have fun in a group setting.
Safety First
Safety is my priority. My studio is equipped with professional-grade ceiling rigging and 4-6 inch crash mats under every hammock. Whether you are an adult nervous about your first inversion or a parent looking for a safe, active outlet for your child, I ensure every session is closely supervised.

Hi, I'm Pinky. I started my own fitness journey later in life and never looked back, so I know exactly how intimidating that first class can feel. My studio is my happy place, and I want it to be yours too—no judgment, just safe, fun movement at your own speed.
