Master Dynamic Aerial Flows and Drops
Ready to fly? Aerial yoga is where strength meets play. Join me in my Goregaon studio to master graceful drops, flips, and spins at your own pace.
This aerial drop sequence shows how we transition from a stable pose into a dynamic, flying movement. It’s all about control and trusting the fabric.
A new drop I've been working on. This move combines an inversion with a quick release, requiring core strength and precise timing.
From a seated pose to a full split on the ground, this drop is a beautiful and advanced transition that we build up to over time.
This is a classic aerial drop that is always fun to practice. It's a great way to experience the feeling of a controlled fall in a safe environment.
Here's a new drop I teach in my intermediate classes. It involves a wrap and a release that creates a beautiful spinning motion.
This aerial drop starts from an inverted position and unwinds into a graceful landing. It's a perfect example of the strength and elegance of aerial yoga.
A quick and playful aerial flip. These movements are a core part of our dynamic flows, adding a fun, acrobatic element to the practice.
This sequence shows a transition from a seated pose into an inversion and back down. It’s a great drill for building confidence with being upside down.
As the caption says, falling is how you learn to fly. In class, we practice small falls and slips safely so you can build the courage for bigger moves.
A simple but fun aerial flip. I teach the basic techniques for getting airborne and landing softly on the mat.
About Dynamic Aerial Flows & Drops
You might worry about the challenge of hanging upside down, but I promise that our studio setup—with thick crash mats and professional-grade rigging—is designed specifically for safety. Aerial yoga isn't just about looking elegant in a hammock; it is about building the raw grip strength and core control required to handle these dynamic movements while having a genuinely fun time.
Building Strength in the Air
Many people think aerial flows are just for gymnasts, but that is not true. In my Goregaon studio, I break down every dynamic drop and spin into small, manageable steps. We start with the basics of weight distribution, teaching you how to use the fabric to support your body before we add any momentum. This is how you build foundational core strength without even realizing you are working out.
Why Practice Drops?
Aerial drops are the ultimate test of trust—both in the fabric and in your own ability to release control. When we practice these, we are actually working on your nervous system and your ability to remain calm under pressure. My classes focus on:
- Safe Inversions: Learning how to hang safely and transition without strain on the spine.
- Momentum Control: Mastering the art of swinging, flipping, and landing softly.
- Active Mobility: Using the hammock to push your flexibility limits further than a standard floor mat ever could.
It Is Okay to Fail
I always tell my students: 'In the beginning was failure, but after practice I got success.' You will likely feel uncoordinated during your first few tries at a new drop. That is normal. Sabko hota hai (everyone goes through it). Whether you are a beginner or looking to advance your technique, my goal is to help you build confidence at your own speed. If you are ready to stop watching and start flying, let's get you into the hammock.
