I’m Gurdeep Kaur, and with my husband Ekbal, I run Pikkle Shikkle right from our home kitchen in Bangalore. We started this journey when I turned 60, simply because I wanted to share the taste of real, preservative-free Punjabi food with you.

I am Gurdeep Kaur, and I am so happy to share my family's recipes with you. Holding a jar of our product always fills me with pride.

It brings me so much joy to talk about our homemade products. Each one has a story and is made with a lot of love.

About Meet the Family Behind the Flavour

It is not just a business for us; it is a home kitchen operation. My husband Ekbal and I manage every single batch ourselves, ensuring that the recipes I have perfected over years are followed exactly, with no shortcuts or industrial machine processes that you might find in mass-produced jars.

When I turned 60, I decided that retirement was not for me. Instead, I wanted to go back to the recipes I grew up with. Pikkle Shikkle started as a small dream to bring that 'ghar jaisa swaad' (homemade taste) to your table. My husband Ekbal is my partner in everything, from chopping vegetables to packing jars and chatting with all of you at our market stalls across Bangalore.

Everything you see here is made by hand. We believe that if you want the best taste, you cannot rush the process. That is why we stick to small batches. Whether it is a spicy mango pickle or a jar of apple cinnamon jam, we source the produce locally and sun-dry our ingredients just like we did back home. We do not use any artificial preservatives or colours because we want you to eat what we eat in our own kitchen.

We love meeting people who value real, honest food. If you see us at a flea market or a local food festival in Bangalore, come say hello. We are always happy to let you taste before you buy, because once you try the real thing, the difference is obvious.
