About Our Full Range of Homemade Goodies
Because I make everything in small batches without any chemical preservatives, the texture and taste are exactly how you remember them from childhood. I don't just sell jars; I invite you to my kitchen in Nagavarapalya to taste a sample before you decide. Whether it is the tang of my spicy mango pickle or the natural sweetness of apple cinnamon jam, you will know the difference that fresh, local ingredients make.
Making real food takes patience. I start by sourcing fresh local produce from Bengaluru markets, which I wash and sun-dry right here at home. Unlike store-bought brands that rely on artificial thickeners and chemical preservatives, I stick to traditional Punjabi methods—slow-cooking in small batches to preserve natural flavours.
What you see on the shelves is what you get. My spicy mango pickle carries that sharp 'tadka' of traditional spices, while my jams maintain a chunky, fruit-forward consistency. Because I use over 60 percent fruit content and zero artificial pectin, you will need to keep the jams refrigerated once opened.
Beyond the pickles and jams, my kitchen produces traditional dry snacks like mathri and kachori, plus Punjabi sweets like pinni ladoos made with pure desi ghee. If you are ordering a gift, I offer curated boxes with satin ribbons that work perfectly for housewarmings or festive hampers.
If you are unsure which flavour to pick, come visit my stall at local Bengaluru markets or drop by the Nagavarapalya kitchen. Trying a spoonful first is the best way to understand why my customers keep coming back for more.
Pikkle Shikkle
I am Gurdeep Kaur, but most folks around here call me the Punjabi Aunty. I started Pikkle Shikkle at 60 because I wanted to share the kind of 'ghar ka swaad' you just cannot find in a supermarket. Every jar is made by me and my husband Ekbal, with no shortcuts or preservatives.
