Deepen Your Practice with Our Yoga Workshops
Move beyond basic asanas. Whether you are working on backbends or deep hip openers, my workshops use props and hands-on guidance to help you find your edge safely.
Our forward bending workshops are all about finding length and release. This video shows various techniques we use, from rope-assisted stretches to partner work, to help you safely deepen your forward folds.
Backbends are a journey of opening up. In our "Backbends & Beyond" workshop, we use straps, walls, and partner support to build strength, overcome fear, and unlock the full potential of your spine.
The middle split is a journey of patience and persistence. This clip from our hip-opening workshop shows how we use props and careful guidance to work towards this challenging pose safely.
Here I am assisting a student in a seated forward bend (Paschimottanasana). By applying gentle pressure on the back, I help her lengthen her spine and fold deeper from the hips.
This student is using a strap around his back and feet to maintain a long spine in his forward fold. This technique helps to deepen the stretch in the hamstrings correctly.
A hands-on adjustment in a seated forward bend. The strap helps the student engage their back muscles, while my guidance ensures they are folding safely and effectively.
This is a sneak peek into our forward bending workshop, where we focus on peace and practice. We use various props and techniques, including chairs and partner assists, to help everyone find their edge.
A student practices a deep backbend using wall ropes and a yoga wheel. This combination of props provides excellent support for opening the entire front body.
This student is in a full expression of a rope-assisted backbend, demonstrating incredible flexibility and strength. The ropes and wheel make this advanced pose more stable.

About Deepening Your Practice: Asana Workshops
In these workshops, I rely heavily on the Iyengar wall rope system to provide traction and support that you just cannot get on a standard mat. Whether we are tackling a difficult backbend or deep forward folds, these ropes allow you to hold poses longer and explore your range of motion without the usual strain, making advanced asanas feel accessible rather than intimidating.
Most people think advancing in yoga means forcing the body into a pretzel. That is exactly what I aim to change in my workshops. When we break down complex asanas like backbends or deep splits, we use tools, not as shortcuts, but as teachers.
For instance, the yoga wheel acts as an extension of your spine, helping you open your chest safely during our backbending workshops. Similarly, when we work on hip openers, I use blocks to bring the floor to you, ensuring your spine stays long rather than rounding in frustration. This is about working smarter, not harder.
These sessions are for anyone who feels stuck in their daily practice. Maybe you have been doing Sun Salutations for years but cannot quite reach that deeper expression of a pose. I provide the hands-on adjustments and the technical guidance to bridge that gap. We look at the mechanics, such as how to engage your quads in a forward fold or how to distribute weight during a wheel-supported backbend.
We operate out of our AC studio in Azad Nagar, Shahdara, specifically designed with wall-mounted ropes for spinal traction. It is a space where you can be honest about your limitations and find the patience to push past them. We do not just do yoga; we study it. If you are ready to stop guessing and start understanding your alignment, these sessions are for you.

I am Shishir, and I believe yoga is a system meant for everyone, not just the hyper-flexible. In my workshops, I focus on the how and why of a pose, helping you use props like ropes and blocks to find stability and growth at your own pace.
