Mental peace is just as important as physical fitness. Join our restorative sessions in Khar West to calm your nervous system, learn the power of mudras, and find your inner stillness.

This Diwali, we focused on balancing our body, mind, and spirit with yoga. This video guides you through simple shoulder stretches and powerful mudras like Garuda Mudra to help you stay centered and joyful amidst the festivities.

The festive season can be overwhelming, but these three powerful mudras can help you stay centered. We practiced Kshapan Mudra to release negativity, Lotus Mudra for compassion, and Hakini Mudra for focus during our Diwali celebration.

To rejuvenate in the New Year, we practiced four key asanas and mudras. This routine includes Parvatasana for mental clarity, Baddhakonasana for relaxation, and Shankh Mudra to focus your energy and enhance meditation.

Start the New Year with peace and clarity. Meditation is a gentle practice to heal, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your inner self. It helps reduce stress, increase focus, and promote emotional balance.

This winter yoga sequence is designed to boost immunity and warm up the body. It includes Surya Bhedana Pranayama (right nostril breathing) to generate heat and keep you resilient during the cold season.

On the sacred day of Buddha Purnima, we paused to reflect and find stillness. Chanting 'Buddham Sharanam Gacchami' is a way to connect with the path of mindfulness, peace, and enlightenment.

What if stillness held the key to unlocking your inner calm? On World Meditation Day, we celebrated the journey inward, from grounding breathwork to silent reflection, each moment holding space for peace and clarity.

This sacred Shravan season calls for inner cleansing. We begin our mornings with Ling Mudra, a powerful hand gesture to stoke your inner fire (agni), boost your metabolism, and strengthen your immune response.

Want to invite more positivity into your day? It’s all in your hands. This video shows two powerful mudras: Hakini Mudra to boost focus and Lotus Mudra to open the heart chakra and ease anxiety.

Feeling low or drained? These four mudras can instantly shift your energy. We practiced Ganesh Mudra to open the heart, Hakini Mudra for focus, Uttarbodhi Mudra for confidence, and Lotus Mudra for compassion.

About Breathe & Center: Pranayama, Mudras, and Meditation

I often tell my students in Khar West: you do not need an hour to feel better. Whether it is the Ling Mudra to kickstart your metabolism during Shravan or simple Anulom Vilom to quiet a racing mind before bed, these practices are tools you can use anywhere. We focus on these techniques because they are real, accessible ways to manage anxiety, improve sleep, and just breathe. You don't need to be an expert to start; you just need to show up.

In our Breathe & Center sessions, we strip away the intimidation factor. Many women come to me thinking meditation means sitting still in silence for an hour, but that is not how life works. Real life is busy, and your yoga practice needs to fit into that.

Why Mudras and Pranayama Matter

We incorporate specific hand gestures, or mudras, into our daily flows. These aren't just poses—they are energy locks. We use the Hakini Mudra to sharpen focus when work gets stressful, or the Lotus Mudra to open the heart when you need a little compassion for yourself. Along with this, we focus heavily on pranayama, like Surya Bhedana for warmth in winter or simple rhythmic breathing to reset after a long day. These techniques are your pocket remedies for stress relief, fatigue, and even hormonal balance.

Your Time, Your Space

Our studio is a place for women to drop the guard. Whether you are dealing with the festive rush during Diwali or just the everyday 3pm slump, these sessions help you center yourself. It is not about reaching perfection in a pose; it is about reaching a state where you feel mentally resilient.

How We Practice

  • Guided Meditation: We do silent reflection and guided sessions that help you reconnect with yourself.
  • Breathwork: From calming Anulom Vilom to energizing techniques, we teach you how to use your breath to influence your mood.
  • Mindful Movement: Even our meditation sessions involve gentle stretches and postural adjustments to keep your body at ease.

Come as you are, tired or energetic. You will leave feeling like yourself again.

I am Amisha, and Namaste Yoga is my life, not just a business. I started this in Khar West with just a few mats and a big dream to build a sisterhood where women support each other. Whether we are doing a power flow or sitting quietly with a mudra, it is all about finding that 'stri shakti' and feeling like you are home.
