Yoga is not just twisting on a mat; it is the real medicine. Join my sessions to breathe better, focus deeper, and find your calm in the city chaos.

Just one Bhramari (humming bee breath) can increase your focus 10 times. This video explains the incredible science-backed benefits of this simple pranayama for a calm and focused mind.

Sama Vritti, or equal breathing, is a simple technique to balance the mind. It calms you down, reduces stress, improves lung capacity, and promotes better sleep.

This video explains the crucial difference between nose breathing and mouth breathing. Learn why breathing through your nose is essential for filtering air, increasing oxygen, and strengthening immunity.

Your breath is your life force. Dr. Ali Irani explains how pranayama and other breathing exercises are critical for increasing your lung capacity, which is essential for a long and healthy life.

Your hands hold the power to heal your mind. This video demonstrates four powerful mudras: Buddhi Mudra for clarity, Hakini Mudra for calm, Dhyani Mudra for positivity, and Granthita Mudra for stress reduction.

Your hands hold the key to better health. This video shows three powerful mudras that can sharpen your mind, increase blood flow, and improve digestion.

Om is the sound of peace. In our classes, we end with Om chanting to let go of the outside noise and tune into our true selves, feeling the calming vibrations.

The echo of Aum is a message of peace. On International Yoga Day, we came together to chant and spread the vibrations of peace and awareness.

Find stillness within the chaos. Meditation is the key to a calm mind and a peaceful heart. Here, our students are guided into a state of deep inner peace.

Disconnect to reconnect within. On our studio's rooftop, students practice Bhramari pranayama to block out external noise and find their inner peace.

About Calm Your Mind: Meditation & Pranayama

A single session of Bhramari pranayama can actually spike your focus levels significantly. When we practice this 'humming bee' breath in class, it is not just about sitting still; it is about physically shifting your brain from scattered to focused. Whether you are dealing with work stress or just need to switch off your mental chatter, this specific technique is usually the first thing my students notice during their very first session.

Pranayama is often misunderstood as just 'breathing', but in my studio, it is a tool for mental regulation. We don't just sit and inhale; we use specific techniques like Anulom Vilom, Bhramari, and Yoni Mudra to balance the nervous system.

Why these techniques work

Most of us breathe shallowly, which keeps our stress levels high. Through guided practice, we work on increasing lung capacity and oxygen intake. You will find that even after a short 60-minute session, the 'noise' in your head reduces. I often integrate sound healing using Tibetan singing bowls at the end of classes, which helps students enter a deep state of relaxation that is hard to achieve at home alone.

What you get in class

  • Guided Breathing: We focus on nose breathing vs. mouth breathing to fix sleep issues and snoring.
  • Pranayama Sequences: From Sama Vritti (Equal Breathing) to stress-busting hums, we do it all.
  • Meditation: We keep it practical. No complex rituals, just simple techniques to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with yourself.
  • Individual Attention: My group classes are limited to 10-15 students in Vile Parle, so I can provide personal corrections on your mudras and posture.

Whether you are a student looking to boost concentration or a professional trying to manage burnout, these sessions are designed to fit into your busy life. You can join me at the studio or hop on a live online session from your home.
