Experience the soul of Nagaland at our table. Our thalis and communal meals are prepared with firewood-smoked meats, fermented ingredients sourced directly from our home, and the same care we use in our own family kitchens.

A classic Naga thali, showcasing a balanced meal. It includes purple sticky rice, Anishi smoked pork, pork with bamboo shoot, a fiery chutney, boiled vegetables, and dal.

A generous, communal platter served on a large banana leaf, ready for sharing. This feast includes two types of rice, multiple pork preparations, fresh greens, and an assortment of vegetables.

A New Year's feast spread across the table. This is how we celebrate, with an abundance of dishes like pork ribs, noodles, curries, and rice, meant to be shared with family and friends.

A simple, wholesome farm-style meal. This wooden bowl holds a comforting mix of rice, fish curry with bitter eggplant and foraged greens, and a side of fresh cucumber and lemon.

A beautifully arranged meal from our Tuluni festival celebration. Served on a banana leaf, it features smoked pork, rice, and fresh boiled greens, representing the harvest.

A pot of our home-style fish curry, cooked with bitter eggplant, tomatoes, and wild herbs. This oil-free preparation is light, healthy, and full of the natural flavors of the ingredients.

About A Taste of Tradition: Thalis & Full Meals

When you order our thali, you are getting a balanced Naga meal designed to be shared. Expect your table to be filled with steaming white rice, pungent fermented sides like Axone or Anishi, boiled greens, and our signature firewood-smoked pork. It is a slow, soulful way to eat, so bring your appetite and a few friends to enjoy it with.

A Different Way to Dine

Eating the Naga way is about community and balance. We don't believe in rushed, plated servings. Our thalis and meal spreads are built to reflect how we eat back home in Dimapur: a communal gathering where the flavours of the land take center stage.

The Ingredients Matter

We do not take shortcuts. Our bamboo shoots, Raja Mircha (King Chilli), and fermented soy paste (Axone) are sourced directly from farmers in Nagaland. This is what gives our curries their signature pungent, earthy, and deep flavour profiles. If you are new to this, we recommend starting with our Smoked Pork with Bamboo Shoot. It is the most honest representation of what we do.

What You Will Find on Your Plate

Every thali or meal spread we prepare includes:

  • Firewood-Smoked Meat: Traditionally smoked to retain moisture and a rich, woody aroma.
  • Fermented Staples: Dishes featuring Axone or Anishi that provide the strong, savoury backbone of the meal.
  • Boiled Greens: We believe in oil-free cooking, so our sides of seasonal greens and bitter eggplant are boiled to preserve their natural texture and nutrition.
  • Rice: Unlimited local white rice, often served with purple or black sticky rice depending on availability.

Whether you are stopping by our Andheri location for a quick lunch or planning a celebration, we ensure the food feels like a home-cooked meal, not a restaurant plate.
