My Teaching Philosophy & Studio at Mudra
Welcome to Mudra, my rooftop sanctuary in Malleshwaram. I built this space to be a real, honest place for movement and breath, where you can leave the pressure of perfection at the door.
Hi, I'm Gowri. In this video, I share a bit about my journey, from starting yoga to manage my own anxiety to becoming a teacher. My goal is to educate and inspire you through a blend of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
This is my vision for Mudra Studio: a holistic wellness space that brings people together to uplift their lives through movement, yoga, and meditation.

My vision is to create a unique community through the holistic wellness of movement and yoga.

About this collection
My studio in Malleshwaram is a semi-open, rooftop space designed for natural airflow, which means we practice without air conditioning. Because I cap my batches at 10 to 12 students, I can offer the hands-on tactile adjustments you need to safely build your practice, whether you are working on basic alignment or trying to ease back tension from desk work.
I started Mudra in 2020 because I wanted a space that felt different from the fitness-first environments I used to teach in. For me, yoga is not about touching your toes on day one. It is about how you feel after the Shavasana (cool-down phase) when the breath slows down and your mind finally settles.
My Approach
My teaching style is a Hatha-Vinyasa blend. We start slow to build foundational strength with Hatha-based poses like Trikonasana (Triangle Pose) and Warrior, then flow with the breath to release tension. This method is specifically designed for people who feel stiff or are dealing with the anxiety of daily life. I believe in giving you verbal cues you can actually understand, followed by physical corrections so you know your posture is safe.
The Rooftop Experience
Practicing on a rooftop in Malleshwaram means we get the benefit of natural light and breeze. It is a no-frills, honest environment. We keep the space simple, clean, and welcoming. You do not need to bring your own mat or blocks if you are joining the in-studio sessions, as I provide all the necessary props to support your journey.
Who This Is For
I built this studio for beginners and anyone who thinks, 'I am not flexible enough for yoga.' If you have a desk job and your back aches, or if you are looking for a way to manage stress that feels more like a moving meditation than a workout, you are in the right place. There is no judgment here, just a small community of people working on themselves.
Gowri
I'm Gowri, and Mudra is my way of sharing the practice that helped me through some of my hardest days. I don't believe in the perfect yogi image, just in showing up, breathing, and finding a little balance in the middle of our messy lives.
