Gentle Yoga & Mindful Flow with Pavna
You know, yoga is really how I keep coming back to myself. Whether you are a total beginner or just need a safe space to breathe, I would love to have you join me on the mat. No pretzel-yoga required, just show up as you are.
Welcome to my yoga class. Here, we move and breathe together, creating a space where everyone feels comfortable. This is a glimpse into our gentle Hatha flow, where we practice Classical Surya Namaskara, counting our breaths in Sanskrit to deepen our focus and connect with the ancient roots of yoga.
I believe in building strength safely, which is why I focus on teaching controlled movements like this backbend, Urdhvadhanurasana. This tutorial shows how to engage your core and open your heart with proper alignment, making advanced poses accessible and preventing injury.
Yoga is more than just poses on a mat; it's a way to manage anxiety and find calm in your daily life. I share my personal self-care routine, including journaling and mindful moments, to show how small, consistent habits can bring discipline and peace when you feel overwhelmed.
Here I am in Goddess Pose, a powerful stance that grounds your energy, in front of a mural I painted. For me, art and yoga are both forms of expression and meditation that help me feel centered and strong in my body.
I am so proud to have earned my Vishishta certification from Sanskrit Bharati. My love for Sanskrit enriches my classes, allowing us to connect with the traditional language of yoga through chanting and breath counts, adding a deeper layer to our practice.
This is me, Pavna. I believe in showing up authentically, both on and off the mat. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen and supported, just as you are.
About this collection
My group classes are designed to be aaramaagi—chilled out and non-competitive. We keep the batches small at our partner studios in Indiranagar and Koramangala, where I provide hands-on adjustments to make sure you are safe, especially if you are working on building strength or learning controlled backbends.
You know, people often ask me if they need to be 'flexible' to start yoga, and I always laugh. Rite? No! My classes are really for anyone who needs to slow down. When I teach, we focus on Hatha for those static holds and Vinyasa for flow, always with a bit of Sanskrit chanting to ground us. I am actually Vishishta certified, so I love bringing those traditional cues into our practice.
If you join me in Indiranagar or Koramangala, it is not about perfection; it is about alignment, feeling the stretch, and honestly, just showing up on the hard days too. We do a mix of Classical Surya Namaskara, core work, and plenty of modifications. If you are anxious or overwhelmed, I promise you, the mat is a safe space. My goal is simple: create a place where you can drop the act, be yourself, and maybe laugh at how awkward we all feel sometimes.
- Class Structure: 60 minutes of guided practice including Pranayama and Asana.
- Why Hatha/Vinyasa: Hatha helps us build strength through static holds, while Vinyasa connects movement with breath for a flow that calms the mind.
- My Approach: I prioritize safe alignment—I’d rather you do a simple pose perfectly than an advanced one in a rush.
Banni—come practice with me. Whether you join in-studio or online, we will figure this out together. Okay I also love you ❣️🧿💋
