I’m Mini Shastri. Alongside Kalarigram-trained expert Carolina Prada, I bring decades of experience in traditional yoga and movement to help you build a practice that’s both disciplined and deeply nourishing.
With over two decades of teaching experience, my work is rooted in the T Krishnamacharya tradition and Vinyasa Krama. I founded Om Yogashala to create a space where students can nourish their body and mind through the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda.
I believe in the power of collaboration. Here I am with Carolina Prada, whose deep training at Kalarigram brings an authentic and powerful dimension to our Kalaripayattu workshops. We work together to provide a comprehensive and supportive learning experience.
About Meet Your Guides
When you join our sessions, you aren't just following a generic routine. I anchor our Vinyasa Krama practice in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya, focusing on structural alignment, while Carolina uses her Kalaripayattu background to help you unlock mobility and strength that standard yoga classes often miss. Whether you are a yoga teacher looking to deepen your craft or a beginner seeking a safe space, our approach is always to modify the practice to suit your body—not the other way around.
Our Philosophy of Movement
I believe that movement is a mirror for how we live. My own transition from high-intensity gym training to the quietude of yoga wasn't linear. It took time to unlearn the habit of pushing and learn the art of listening. That is why Om YogaShala, established over two decades ago, feels different from a typical fitness studio. We do not just teach poses; we teach awareness.
Why Kalaripayattu?
Many students ask why I incorporate Kalaripayattu into our yoga offerings. Yoga gives us the structure and the breath, but Kalari gives us the dynamism. By inviting Carolina Prada to lead our martial movement modules, we provide a complete system. You get the stability of Vinyasa Krama combined with the grounding, primal energy of animal postures and footwork. It is a powerful way to break through the plateaus that many practitioners hit in their standard yoga practice.
The Hybrid Experience
Based out of Vasant Vihar, Delhi, our sessions are designed for real lives. Whether you are joining us in our climate-controlled studio or via our live Zoom hybrid courses, you get individual attention. I personally ensure that we address the practical needs of modern practitioners—this includes support for hormonal transitions, managing stress, and building functional strength that keeps you pain-free outside of the shala. We keep our batches small, so when you are on screen, I am watching your alignment, offering verbal cues, and ensuring you are moving safely.
