Yoga Classes & Community Highlights
Welcome to a practice that values consistency over perfection. Whether you are recovering from a C-section, looking to build core strength, or simply seeking a quiet moment to breathe, my Gurgaon studio is designed to help you find your steady, easeful self.
This pose, Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana, is a deep heart-opener that requires both strength and surrender. For me, yoga is not about achieving the perfect shape, but about awakening the subconscious mind through breath. The physical benefits like flexibility and toning are simply beautiful byproducts of this deeper inner work.
Hearing how my classes become a source of rejuvenation and nourishment for the soul is the greatest reward. This student shares her experience of finding real life on the mat, a feeling that brings the best kick to her day, every day.
Your breath is your most powerful tool for calming the nervous system. Here are three simple pranayama techniques, including alternate nostril breathing, that you can practice before bed to quiet a racing mind and invite deep, restful sleep.
Discover the wisdom of Desi Yoga, where asanas are inspired by the daily chores of Indian life. This video demonstrates how traditional movements like churning buttermilk and thrashing hay can be powerful exercises for trimming the waistline and connecting to our cultural roots.
My post-C-section recovery programs are designed to help new mothers heal and reconnect with their core safely. Using simple props like a block and a light dumbbell, I guide you through gentle moves that rebuild strength and confidence from the inside out.
Step inside my Gurgaon studio and feel the collective energy of a group class. Here, we move together through sequences like Downward-Facing Dog and Chair Pose, creating a supportive environment where every student can find their own balance and strength.
Ek Hasta Bhujasana, or Elephant Trunk Pose, connects us to the energy of Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and guardian of our root chakra. This pose is a reminder that our physical practice is deeply intertwined with our spiritual journey, grounding us in our foundation.
This is the essence of my teaching philosophy. A student beautifully shares that in my classes, "Komal not only heals us, she holds us." My goal is to create a safe space that helps you come back home to your own self.
About Featured
People come here for the workout, but they usually stay for the stillness. Whether we are focusing on postpartum recovery with bolsters, correcting alignment in a Vinyasa flow, or just settling into Shavasana, my goal is to give you manual spot corrections and real guidance that you won't find in a crowded, faceless gym class.
Our Approach: Living Your Yoga
Yoga at my studio in DLF Phase 4 is not about performing for a camera or forcing your body into shapes that don't belong. Over 17 years, I’ve refined a practice grounded in Sthira Sukham Asanam—steady and easeful. We focus on small batches of 8-12 students, ensuring that you actually get the attention you need to stay safe and progress, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner.
What You Get When You Join
- Small Batch Focus: With only 8-12 students per session, I can provide the manual spot corrections necessary to keep your alignment sharp and your practice effective.
- Beyond the Workout: We start and end with Pranayama. Breathing isn't just an add-on; it is the foundation that calms the nervous system and makes the movement meaningful.
- Practical Props: Blocks, straps, and wheels aren't cheats. They are bridges that allow you to find depth and comfort in asanas, regardless of your current flexibility level.
- Versatile Styles: From the strength-building heat of Vinyasa to the functional movements of Desi Yoga, we rotate our focus to keep your body challenged and your mind engaged.
Who This Is For
This community is built for real life in Gurgaon. I work with new mothers navigating postpartum recovery, busy professionals needing to decompress from stress, and anyone who wants to build a body that feels strong, balanced, and capable. You don't need to be fit to start; you just need to show up.
Komal Sodhi
I’m Komal. After 17 years here in Gurgaon, I’ve learned that the best yoga isn't about perfectly touching your toes—it's about showing up for yourself. I created this studio to be a place where we move, sweat, and breathe together, keeping it grounded in ancient wisdom but practical for your modern life.
